A pretty dock and a nice boat ride that takes you to shop and play -

Downtown Disney was a mess in July, but it's going to be very cool when it's all finished.
Looks like a great trip. And if they do go to Italy next year, that would be 2 places from my bucket list back to back. Jealous.A couple of posts above are the final pictures of Ireland (at the end of a long group of replies).
I remember going way back when. Probably around the time it first opened. I had a good time, but I wasn't all that impressed. The newer simulator type attractions look like they could be a lot of fun though. And for those who wondered, we went the first year it opened with our boys. I hated it then! The next trip they asked if we could go again and I was a bad mommy (as opposed to a bad bad baby). I told them it closed because no one was going.![]()
You're losing it, Kathy!Hmmm....I have no picture of my food. I must have just had a ceasar salad that evening (could have sworn I ordered a burger)
Cool! The dancing began and the girls were all into it and then were asked if they wanted to join:
And then the picture I got in trouble with their daddy for
Yes, I have got the girls loving their Starbucks. So much so that they can both order their own fancy drink without any help.![]()
I don't like DQ either. DH and DS were supposed to go together last year. I was going to get some "me" time. Alas, that did not happen. DH was sick almost the whole Disney trip. I got to take DS to DQ and the only thing I enjoyed was lunch.
Your poor DH being sick; but I feel even sorrier for you.
I love Raglan Road. The girls look like they had a great time dancing.I do have one question though...why no Bread and Butter Pudding? Dang that stuff is amazing!
LOVE the pictures from Ireland. I hope I get to visit one day. My husband does not want to visit another country until our boys are much much older.
I don't think I'd want to travel to another country with young children either; the rest of the pictures were gorgeous too...but I didn't want to post them all here.
I think my husband wants to go back to Disney Quest so badly, the boys are just to an age where they might have fun. But I am always like "I'd rather spend the money for a special meal or in the parks on souvenir's."
I'm with you; and those ticket prices are really steep...even if you can spend the entire day there.
I love Raglan Road for the entertainment. My boys and I are not adventurous eaters and we ate there once, but no one finished their food (my husband wants to try it out, as he doesn't get to join us on most of the trips). We ate at the QS in the summer and my husband loved it.
What a nice night at DtD!
It really was, Julie.
Raglan Road looks SO good! My mouth is watering! I was tempted to try it out on our last visit, but no ressies were available at the time we wanted. There's always next time, right? And the girls dancing -- so fun!![]()
We have never set foot in Disney Quest. I'm hoping I never will. But who knows? Every time I see it as "DQ" I think of Dairy Queen, the ice cream place. I think it's regional - I'm not sure if they have those all over.
I would much rather go to DQ--Dairy Queen. In fact, now that you brought it up, tonight might be a good night after dinner.
But I digress.
No worries...I like how you digressed.
Glad they have a good snack bar, but I agree, it would be nice not to have to pay full price for the adults who aren't playing.
It probably wouldn't have been so painful.
I hope that DTD construction wraps up. What a mess. You guys hit some good stores and Raglan Road looks good! Especially that Bailey's Shake!! How fun the girls got to dance. I love that they both got salads! One of my kids (Paige) loves caesar salad!
I'm with you; it is a mess and not fun going to because of it. Caesar salad is the only kind I'll eat. It's good the girls like salad.
Good for Mark on trimming down! I have got to start getting serious about that.
Love the Ireland pictures! They are both just too cute!
Thanks, MaryEllen.
OMG - I took the bus back to OKW on evening and it took an HOUR!Cynthia and I took a cab back one evening an the cabby gave us grief for only providing him a small fare because OKW it so close. Can't win!
Wasn't it horrible? And OKW is NOT that far away. If I were the cabbie, I'd be happy for the fare!
Love the pictures of the girls in their hats, on stage, and, of course, drinking Starbucks.
Aren't they just adorable?
Raglan road looks like a ton of fun!
It is; I'm surprised you've never been.
I hate the view of DTD right now. I hope it looks better in October.
I'm not counting on it looking any better next month.
The first time I went to DQ I was not a fan. But if you've been in the 100 plus Florida heat with no rain for an entire week in June you learn to appreciate it.It's an acquired taste.
I don't think I'll ever acquire a taste for it.
Have a great weekend!![]()
Caught up. Haven't rally been on the boards much lately. Trying to get the last burst of summer in.
Lorrie, I don't blame you; pool and weddings certainly are a priority over the DIS.
I have never been to Disney Quest and I hope to keep that going. Who knows though, my new DSIL and grandsons would love it there.
Ummmm...yes your DSIL and grandsons probably would.
Raglan Road is another place I've never been. My family tends to be very set and only like certain places and foods. Maybe one trip with just Jim and I.
Raglan Road is new to us, I have an ADR there in Sept but I was nervous about taking the kids there and on how loud it would be. Seeing the girls in there and dancing helped my nerves a bit. Looks like fun and the food looks yummy!
Jen, they will love it. Ask for a seat up front and not in the back room...it will be easier for the kids to participate.
Goofy Candy Co. , yummy!! Little Miss Match is my DD's favourite store. We always have to make a stop in there.
It's a cute store although I still don't understand the concept of the mismatched socks. It must be an age thing.
Too bad the construction is making the DTD experience a pain. I love the DTD area! Hopefully it will be a little better in Sept, but somehow I doubt it will.![]()
Great update Kathy
Thanks, Linda.
I do wish they would hurry up and get DTD finished as we love going there in the evenings
I know; it's so hard to get around or find a spot to sit and people watch.
I want to try and get over there on our next trip just to visit the co-op store which is awesome!
I must say it looks like the girls had a ton of fun hanging out together at Downtown Disney!
They sure did, Phil.
We love Raglan Road - glad you enjoyed your meal there ... though I didn't know you were allowed to go there and not get the bread pudding
That's my hubby's thing, not mine.
The construction there has gotten me so down on DTD ... why is it taking them longer to build a parking garage than it took Universal to build Diagon Alley?!?!?!
Hi there Kathy! I wasn't such a fan of Disney Quest either!
I bet Michael would be though.
That was cute that the girls joined in on the dancing at RR. Like the girls I wasn't fan of their bread but their desserts were amazing. I wish I'd make time to head back there.
I didn't find the bread too bad; my drink was my dessert.
The Irish proverb items were perfect for Des. Loved the Ireland photos - that landscape is just so lovely.
I got the idea from Des' mom. She had gotten Andy a new wallet for his birthday and put Ireland money in it for him.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend with the kids.
Loved the update and you've convinced me...I've got to go to RR! Now I have to figure out how to fit it in! The trials and tribulations of going to WDW! Sighhhh![]()
Fun dinner!!!
It was!
I have no desire to go to Disney Quest either....and you crack me up because I have said things like that to my kids too.....in fact I am avoiding a lot of talk about my upcoming weekend conference trip when Claire asks.![]()
I have to say Raglan Road wins over Rose & Crown for me . Carol only wants the dessertShe had withdrawel symptoms when we scipped it in May !!!

A pretty dock and a nice boat ride that takes you to shop and play -![]()
What could be better, Caren?
Downtown Disney was a mess in July, but it's going to be very cool when it's all finished.
I have not been to DQ in years either. The noise alone and the low light and crowds.![]()
Enough to drive you over to Raglan Road for a drink!
DS loved it so when he was a teen we just sent him alone.
Smart woman!
I will admit I had panned a waterpark day too and bailed on it for the pool.
It's just so much easier...and cheaper!
DTD is such a mess we just did a quick dip in for a sandwich and got out.
That's the best thing to do these days.
So glad the girls had a blast and glad you are feeling better.
I am with you on Disney Quest. Ick. My brother enjoys it but luckily the last time we went, he had a friend with him so I didn't have to go in with him.
Katie, that's good your brother had a friend. That place really is for boys.
The girls with their Starbucks are just TOO cute! Adorable.
I just crack up every time I look at that photo...especially Cayley's pose.
Love Raglan Road! YUM!
Looks like a great trip. And if they do go to Italy next year, that would be 2 places from my bucket list back to back. Jealous.
There's also talk of South Africa for some reason...I think it has to do with charity? I'm not keen on that idea at all.
I remember going way back when. Probably around the time it first opened. I had a good time, but I wasn't all that impressed. The newer simulator type attractions look like they could be a lot of fun though.
If you are in to those things which I am not.
You're losing it, Kathy!
Honey, I lost it a long time ago.
Cool!
They had a lot of fun doing it.

Oh it isn't that bad.
Kathy!!! Why did you feel the need to corrupt those poor, sweet, innocent girls? I understand why he wasn't happy.
Hey, if you want to hang with the big girls and keep up, you need your caffine.
![]()
Thank you for that update... as when we get there i am going to ask the kids what they want to do... Not one option will be Disney quest.. I don't think they know what it is either...![]()
Raglan Road looks great, and my husband would love that Bailey's Shake! We may have to get him one.
Clare, they are OUT of this world. I must have one each trip. You can get them at the outside bar too if you don't want to eat there.
Disneyquest. We've never done it. I think I could take it or leave it, but DH and my girls would love it.
So let them go and you shop.
YOu packed a lot in at DTD!
Fun pics from Vegas.
Thanks, Scott.
I love pool time there.
Pool time is great.
Cute turtle. Glad the chef in Olivias didnt see or Turtle Soup might have been on the menu. LOl
Ewww...I don't like it to begin with and that is just sad.
Love taking the boat. Wish I was right now.
You and me both...especially since we are having a monsoon right now.
Never been to DisneyQuerst and we were premium ap holders. LOL.
Not worth it to me even if I was a Premium AP holder.
Fun times at DTD.
We did have fun.
Caught up.
Looks like you all had a great trip! Subbing!
Hi Kathy!![]()
I just got all caught up with your trip report. I love it! It looks like you all had a blast!! <3
Yes we did have a blast!
The girls are adorable!! I loved their mermaid & princess ariel transformation.
Oh goodness...your story that you told your boys about Disneyquest had me...![]()

It SO sounds like something I would tell my kids! When we lived in town (as oppposed to living in the country like we do now) Jillian only knew the ice cream truck as the "music truck". I never told her there was ice cream in it!
I love it; the MUSIC TRUCK!
I have no desire to ever visit Disney Quest. Luckily my kids and hubby have shown no interest either. Big deal, because my hubby is a BIG gamer...but no Disney Quest, because he is an ever BIGGER cheapskate.
It seriously is ridiculous how much they charge. And I don't blame your hubby at all!
MMMM...Between you and D~ I just cannot get away from pictures of those delicious Starbucks drinks! I still haven't visited the new Starbucks up the street from where I work, because I know my weaknesses. I know that once I do go...it will become a HABIT quickly!![]()
