Just thought I would warn folks before they open this that I would be whining. As many of you know our military base in Italy is closing and we are moving back to the US. My job (the post library) closed on Friday and I have been busy packing up books and videos, moving boxes and tables and cabinets, the works! After three days of this my body is aching and I am pooped! I have to finish up this week (ship my car tomorrow) and then start over next week packing up and moving my house.....I am just soooo stressed out, I can't wait until next Friday when I am done (until the next set of movers comes on the 24th!).

If you have managed to read all the way to this point, thanks for letting me vent!!! I actually feel a little better.

I highly admire anyone who can tolerate moving. That has to be the worst chore of all time (at least for me).

Where at in Italy? I was active Air Force and moving does top the list of worst things to do. We moved from the US to Germany, off base, then on base all in 3 months. You just want to live out of suitcases.

Don't you just love PCS time This was the year that we first thought we'd be leaving here. We found out that we were here for four years instead of three all along and we just extended that to five so we have two years left before we have to worry about it now. I know that this is such a stressful time but hang in there. It will be over with before you know it and you'll be able to breathe a big sigh of relief.

No, we aren't even going to look until we arrive next month. Since DH is retiring 6 months after we arrive we are only looking for a short-term rental. Then once he gets hired for a job we will settle and buy a house. And since our furniture won't even arrive until August and people only give 30 days notice there is nothing for us to look at yet.
