Multiple Guest App Checkin

Surely someone has run into this before.

We have two rooms coming up. Room 1 has three couples, each with their own billing, Room 2 has a family, and two other adults (all related), again, all with their own billing.

Room charges are taken care of. But "just in case", we plan to have each family group (total of six) attach their own CC to their KTTW/MB. I know this can be done once onsite, but here are my questions...

1) Everyone currently has "Check In Now" (trip is next month) on the MDE app. If each person checks in and puts their own CC on file, would that match their charging privileges to their CC?
2) Is this even worth it, or just tell everyone "no charging to the room, use your CC (card, phone, watch, whatever) if necessary"?

TIA.

One card per room reservation which is for the remainder of the balance due day of check in (if you booked room only) and incidentals and room charges.

Each person can go into MDE find their account settings and put in payment method which would be stored for Lightning Lane purchases and maybe mobile order.

Once you arrive go to the front desk and have each person's payment for room charges be added.

I think you're just overthinking too much. Easiest thing is just relax and to go the front desk.

Just to clarify, guests don't attach a CC with their KTTW or MB. All you are doing is linking both to your MDE Account.

No, only the Primary guest on each reservation needs to Check-in. The CC or any payment option listed on their MDE Account or PIN setting only applies to the Primary guest for each room reservation.

To allow other room guests to have individual access to the Resort folio, this must be done at the Front desk. And you also need to double check the CM correctly assigned each CC / Debit card to the resort folio for a room folio.

2) Is this even worth it, or just tell everyone "no charging to the room, use your CC (card, phone, watch, whatever) if necessary"?
That would be easiest for a large diverse group sharing rooms at the same or any Disney resort.

Correct the up to 6 payment methods that may be listed on a guests MDE accounts that are not the Primary Guest on a room are utilized for LLMP and/or LLSP or even LLPP. And in addition the payment options are available for mobile orders.

No doubt. But if it's something I can settle/take care of now, one less thing to remember to handle at check in. :D

Thank you all!

The simple solution would be to tell everyone to use their physical credit cards for purchasing. You should be brining it with you into the parks anyways since systems could go down and your key/MB may glitch and not allow for room charging anyways.

That mess is not worth it. You have so many parties involved my head is spinning reading the list. Just turn off room charging, you don’t have to have it on. The hotel will still place an incidental hold in case of room damage but nothing will be allowed to be charged to the room.

Even when you link different CC’s to different people on a room sometimes it gets messed up at the beginning. I always keep a close eye on day1 charges if sharing a room with someone paying their own expenses as I had the front desk screw it up one trip and it’s miserable to math out if you don’t catch it right away- and I was only splitting with one other person!
