:lmao: For the last 2 or 3 weeks, my three oldest daughters (11, 9 and 7) can not, for the life of them, seem to get along WITH ANYONE! Their job on Friday afternoons is to clean their rooms for the weekend. I realize that they have swimming lessons (practice for some) on Tue and Thu and church on Wed, all science projects are completed and turned in and with the warm weather, they are tired. Tired of school and tired of work. Each day has gotten progressively worse than the day before. I have a migraine headache from the time they climb into the car after school to the time we pull up in the driveway! You are talking a 5 minute ride and they are already at each other's throats. :confused3 So, with today being Friday, they had to clean their rooms. I have heard nothing but yelling, stomping and slamming doors since they started. I did not go intervene, but I did sit down and type out a memo to each one stating what unconditional love was and until they could show myself and each other some compassion and respect....I am on strike. I will not cook for them (they can make their own sandwiches). I will not take them anywhere, help them with their homework, wash their laundry. I did not say a word, just handed them the paper and walked away. After about 10 minutes of them crying that I did not love them, they have decided to pull together to get dinner. They are in the process of learning how to make pancakes and scrambled eggs. They are working as a team, laughing with each other, but most of all, they are getting along!!!!! I don't know how long this will last, but right now I am liking this strike thing. :lmao: I think it will last until Sunday! Happy weekend all!

Can I join you :woohoo:. My girls are constantly fighting, won't listen, won't do their chores :sad2:. TGIF .

Get yourself a :drinking1 and do not give in! :goodvibes Enjoy your weekend!

I think I may join you. I have 3 sons, 5. 11 and 18 and because of the
age difference they don't fight to much but they do not listen and never clean up after themselves. not a single one of them can make it into the hamper....they think on top of the hamper is close enough. they talk and play their loud games at 8:30pm when I finally sit down to watch tv. Even
when they do clean it is never 1/2 of what i want. good luck and if it turns out well I will definatley be following in your footsteps.

Good for you! Enjoy it, and I hope it stays that way! :thumbsup2

Can I come over & enjoy your strike with you??

Way to go for being proactive!!! :thumbsup2

Y'all sound like ideal candidates for the Ladies Only WDW DIS Meet Weekend....:)

I am right there with you! I would love to see that memo by the way.

My kids are 13,7, and 4. They just rotate coming up to me and asing for something. I swear they have a system. Yesterday, they were off of school due to the basketball team going to the state tournament. Today was an in service day and the first day of spring break. I don't think I am going to survive the next week.
