Hurry Up, You Brats, or I'm Telling Mickey Mouse! An August 2013 TR THE END 1/18

Sounds like a great start to your Mom's special day!

I agree with you that I think Walt would love ETWB - just the immersion of it, let a lone the technology, he would be super into. Plus it is something the whole family can do together

I am hopping on board. First TR on the DIS... Welcome:cheer2::cheer2:pixiedust:pixiedust::welcome:

Going back to read your TR. Can't wait to read all about it.

Just finished catching up. I knew I would enjoy your TR because one of your favorite rides is also mine. RRC Yeah I can ride it all day. Love all the food pics makes me hungry for Disney food...I have to wait till May 2014 though :sad2::sad2: to get my food fix. Your family sounds just like ours. Disney freaks to the max....:cool1::cool1::cool1:. Can't wait for more

Haha, in the photo of you and Zurg, it almost looks a bit like a Godfather movie where you have to kiss his ring. He is evil after all. :scratchin

What a great idea taking the drawings in to the characters!!! I like that. Maybe I'll get to draw Ariel and have an excuse to go visit!

Ahhh Orange Bird pin!

Ha, I love how excited you are in that photo.

I think you're so right. Walt would have loved Enchanted Tales.

"Shellfish"... Love it!!!

Haha Great Splash pose!! :lmao:

Just found your report. Great start to the vacation!

I am a huge fan of puns also and would have laughed over shellfish also.

I love RRC so much! I only wish it was a little bit longer...I could definitely keep going for another minute.

Thanks! I am always hungry for Disney food. I have never been in May but it sounds like a really great time to go!

Haha, we definitely are a family of Disney fanatics! Thanks so much for joining in!

Hehe yes, he seems none too pleased to be holding my hand. Ah well.

My mom and sister have done it in the past before, and it's always gotten a great reaction from the characters! Ahh that would be amazing to show Ariel your art.

Orange Bird is so cute!

New Fantasyland is my favorite. I pretty much ran there and then had to wait for my family. Overeager/excited, it happens!

We were so excited at how the Splash picture turned out. We had wanted to do newspapers, but we forgot them :confused3 so we went with park maps. It came out nicely.

Just found your report. Great start to the vacation!

I am a huge fan of puns also and would have laughed over shellfish also.

Thank you so much for joining in! I went over to check out your TR -- I am going to New Orleans for the first time next month and I am SO excited!

It was absolutely hilarious :lmao:

So many fabulous updates since I last dropped by! Including the hilarious lunch where your TR earned its name. We love 50's PT, and even more so when you have such an awesome server. That interaction was so perfect. (and the brownie sundae isn't bad either!)

Your Splash photo! >>>:lmao:

Shellfish Ariel - again, so perfect.

Gaston is one of the best characters for interacting as long as you're not shy!

And the Green Army Man wanting you to do a push up.... I might hurt myself if I did one! ;)

I didn't even know there were sign language interpreters. Another way that Disney steps up and makes the guest experience what it should be. :thumbsup2

I'm still tracking your park days to see if any of yours overlapped with us. thus far nada.

Looking forward to more!

Still brings a tear to my eye when I see you girls in those matching shirts! That was a birthday present I never expected from your sister.

I love how Kylie is right up in Gaston's face.

And those cinnamon buns!!! OMG I wish I had one right now.

Sooo lucky we drew Woody on a day we could meet him. It is so great to have them autograph the drawings.

Great update! Miss you lots!

I forgot to mention that I love, love, love all the pins you got. I am a pin collector more that a trader and have way too many pins. One trip I was wearing two lanyards full and was told by a certain family member (don't want to name him) I was not allowed to bring my pins and wear them anymore :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:. I have 4 lanyards full and a whole drawer loaded to the top with pins. Every trip we take I end up bringing a few pins home with me :cool1::cool1:.

50s was amazing! I wish I could have eaten more of the brownie sundae, but I was so full that I could only have a few bites. It was delicious, though!

Haha, we love good ride photos.

Absolutely. I love Gaston, but he could definitely rub people the wrong way!

Trust me, I was not prepared to do a push-up in the middle of DHS! It was too funny though :rotfl2:

The ASL interpreters are truly amazing, and they enhance the experience so much for us. We just found out that you can ask to have an interpreter for the Christmas party, which is totally amazing for Disney to do!

Aw man. Though it would be a bummer if I walked right by you and just didn't notice!

Thank you :goodvibes

I know, Kylie can be sentimental when she wants...

She isn't intimidated by anyone.

I could easily go for a LeFou's Brew right now. Book the flight.

That was really lucky! I'm glad we got to do it.

Miss you too!

Oh my gosh, we are the same! I went from having two lanyards, to a pin backpack that I got at the pin store in Downtown Disney, to this beauty which hangs in my home:

I haven't added the pins from this trip yet, but soon I'm going to need a bigger board! It's always a good conversation starter when we have people over.

I'm obsessed with that phone case!!!!!!!!!!

I had something funny like that happen with my pictures once too. Have no idea what caused it.

Cowboy scene......absolutely unheard of. :lmao:

Hahaha, I wouldn't have been able to do a pushup either! I would have been all pathetic laying on the concrete.

Aaaahhh yes. The birth of the Trip Report Name. An incredible moment in any intrepid trip reporters life. :lmao:

I love those tanks with the stained glass! Hot Topic?

Is it sad that 100% of my family likes to be in the spotlight? I was the wardrobe. Because I was so convincing at singing loudly. :lmao:

See! And you do love to read! Of course Belle would be your favorite.

Wow that is an awesome idea to put your pins on a board. Nice collection :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Thank you! It was my mom's idea...moms have the best ideas. :goodvibes

Ahh me too. It makes me smile whenever I pick up my phone!

Haha the Cowboy scene was an unreal coincidence but I was very happy about it!

Yep, I got in the plank position and wasn't moving from there. Green Army Man was judging pretty hard.

Basically from the moment it happened, once I stopped laughing, I knew it was going to be the TR name :rotfl2:

Yes! Kylie and I got a bunch of the Hot Topic tanks right before the trip. I love them so much.

Haha YES that's awesome! I would love to be the wardrobe.

Belle has been my girl forever. princess:

Hi everyone! Before I start this update, some exciting news...

I HAVE A NEW TICKER! WE'RE GOING BACK, GANG!

This trip (July 5-13, 2014) will be for Kylie's Sweet 16, and it's been in the works for a while now. It promises to be the most epic trip yet. We're basically inviting everyone we know to come hang out with us. Friends, family, possibly my high school English teacher...it's going to be the party of the century. Probably better than my '80s themed Sweet 16 at the Knights of Columbus :lmao:

I probably won't do a full PTR for that or my Thanksgiving trip, as I'm away at college far from my mom who does most of the planning, BUT I'll do little PTR posts in here! WOOOOOO MORE DISNEY FOR COURTNEYBELLE HOLLA.

Okay. Now back to your regularly scheduled trip reporting.

Chapter Sixteen: Beaches & Cream

While waiting for the bus, I took pictures of my map bracelet! I made it before my last trip in January, and I love it. I found it on Pinterest.

We hopped on a bus and made our way to the Beach Club!

Some Beach Club pics:

And the Boardwalk:

We accidentally took the scenic route around Stormalong Bay and saw some of the Yacht Club too:

These resorts are gorgeous. It’s one of my Disney dreams to stay at Beach Club for Food & Wine.

Finally, we arrived at our lunch destination!

DSC00872_zpse6ea7cab.jpg

We were seated quickly and ordered right away. As usual, Mom, Kylie, and I got the same thing: grilled cheese. It was soooo good and cheesy.

DSC00875_zpse592a250.jpg

Dad got a chicken Caesar sandwich, and he liked it a lot. I think my family may have grown weary of my food photos, because I don't have one :confused3

Then, it was time for the real purpose of the trip to Beaches & Cream. We would be attempting to conquer THE KITCHEN SINK.

Eight scoops of ice cream, every topping in the house, and a whole can of whipped cream, served in a sink. I thought the whole can of whipped cream was an exaggeration. Like when I say, “I’m going to go sleep for days,” but only sleep for 13 hours. But no, we actually saw the woman put the entire can of whipped cream on the sundae!

Photo evidence:

They flash the lights and a siren wails when they bring it out to you. They also brought my mom a birthday balloon!

DSC00879_zps641fb7f4.jpg

Here it is. The Big Kahuna:

DSC00881_zps464d8b0e.jpg

Some of the toppings I got were bananas, Milky Way bars, hot fudge, and caramel sauce. The ice cream flavors were vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mint chocolate chip, and coffee.

I honestly wasn’t huge on this, but that’s because I really only like vanilla ice cream. If you’re with a bunch of people who love different ice creams and toppings, though, it’s definitely a cool experience!

After all agreeing that we wouldn't be eating for the rest of the day, we waddled our way out of Beaches & Cream and headed back to MK.

Continued in next post

Yay on the new ticker! Man it feels so nice when you get a new one, doesn't it?

Love the bracelet!

Beaches and Cream is one of my absolute Disney favorites. Everything is always so good.

The Kitchen Sink! Nice!!!!! It's one of those things I think you try for the sake of trying. I am a fan of the No Way Jose. That's where my loyalties lie. :lmao:

Love the Beach Club pictures. We are hoping to stay there for the flower and garden festival next year. Wow that kitchen sink looks delicious and huge I think I would be in a food coma for the rest of the day for sure.

Ahh that's exciting Courtney. To currently have not 1 but 2 trips already set for the future must just be :cloud9:

I really love the Boardwalk area. It's such a great place to just stroll. :tiptoe:

Oh my goodness the Kitchen Sink. And you all finished it all. Wow, that is impressive. :worship:

love your bracelet - very good job :thumbsup2

And excellent work finishing the kitchen sink! I think if I ever did that with a group, unless it was with like 10 people I would go and just get that - no lunch

love reading your trip report! Thanks for the helpful tip on the interpreters and blocking the view - honestly, it's something I would hate to do on accident and even more so now that I know. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read the rest!

Yippppeeeee! One more trip for your ticker!!!! What a great 16th birthday celebration. All I got was a roller skating party. Yep, back in the day!!!

So onto your update..... I'm a big Beaches & Cream fan. Went there last trip as well. I ordered the grill cheese and this time I just didn't like all the funky cheeses. I loved it in February so maybe my tastes changed. :confused3

I love when they bring out the kitchen sink and everyone yells, A WHOLE CAN of WHIP CREAM? Fun stuff. Even funner to eat I'm sure. I'd be sick if I dug into that because where do you stop?? Oh, wait, at the bottom!! :rotfl2:

Love your map bracelet. Did you make that yourself? Very adorable.
