"Hurry & fly away to Neverland before it's too late!" Trip wrap up page 30

I would have lost it too. I think expressing an opinion is perfectly acceptable, but once is plenty, thank you, especially if nothing can be done. Great safari pictures. The rhino looks so sad! What a brave EE group you are. Someday I'll be brave enough. Maybe. I'm soooo glad everything turned out all right with the mamogram.

:thumbsup2 Love of the pics of the girls in the cut-outs; where were those, I don't think I have ever seen them?

I'm so glad Mom is okay! After my little scare I can't imagine how hard going through it can be.

I hear you on the busy part. It's been crazy here and I only have 1 kid LOL

Mom found out she had Breast Cancer in May, had operation in June, radiation till September. She had to keep going back for check-ups but at the end of January they told her she beat it. Her b-day is January 30. After losing my dad 13 years ago to Cancer I couldn't lose my mom. You see how close I am with her - I'm not prepared for anything like that.

Well, let me know drag your trip report down. My mom is doing great and is loving life that is all that matters.....

I'm glad you stood up to her. When I was younger nobody ever stood up to my older sister (she was a royal witch). Once I hit 18 all bets were off LOL
I feel sorry for Dani. I would have told my sister "listen if you don't like the way it's going, you can always choose to do something else by YOURSELF" LOL
You need to put her in her place more than once that is how they shup up LOL

Thanks for your support! I was so glad mammogram was clean. I'm rather busty and have always worried I would get breast cancer.

We did have an interesting safari.

They are at the DVC kiosk right by Island Mercantile. Right next to where you take pictures with Lilo and Stitch as your turning to go toward Camp Minnie/Mickey. There is one other cut out but for some reason I didn't get a picture, I think it was because neither girl was tall enough to get in it.

How scary! You have both had a rough year. Once again I'm happy for both of you she got good news.

Tena is the oldest too and intimidates the rest of us. Over the years I've become the only one she listens to. We're closer that the others are too. They don't stand up to her, just avoid her. She means well just doesn't know where to draw the line. I knew going in I would have problems and would just do my best to handle them. Dennis would never have been able to stand it.

Anyone doing anything interesting tomorrow? I think we're going to drive down to New Orleans and go to the Audubon Zoo and the new Insectarium. Sounds fun huh? I love the zoo but could skip the Insectarium, DH really wants to go. Bugs Yuk! Should make for some interesting pictures.

DH and I took the kids a few months ago. I feel the same way about bugs as you:scared1: There are lots of bugs there. And a roach exibit with REAL roaches:scared1::scared1: But the worst part.... my DH ate grub worm salsa. Really, no words.

Well, we ended up not making to see the bugs. We were wooped after the zoo and just headed back to BR. We're saving it for another day.

Danielle kept talking about how she wasn't going to be eating any bugs!

Sorry you didn't have a pleasant experience at Pizzafari. Madison really liked it in January. Since I've been going to Disney since I was 2 years old, I've learned not to complain there. My parents used to threaten us and say that if we ever complained, they'd never bring us back! I still find it hard to believe that people can actually complain at WDW. Disney vacations are too expensive to complain about!

Normally we love Pizzafari, it was just the heat. I might have to use that threat your parents used. I could tell them next time I won't bring you with me, cause there's not way I could say we weren't coming back. I totally agree with you on the not complaining at Disney. I'm just trilled to be there.

The rest of our day went so much better. Our meal that night was the most fun!

Glad the girls liked EE and wow what an adventurous safari :rotfl:

Sorry about the outburst with your sister but it sounded as though it did you both good and whoops on the spilt drink :rotfl2:

We love EE. That was the most interesting Safari ever.

We laughed about that spilled drink for the rest of the trip.

We rested a little longer today than the day before. Our dinner ADRs weren't until 8 that night. I knew we wouldn't be able to do anything major due to arriving late in the day and we had to leave by 7 so I just planned character hunting and The Little Mermaid.

When we hit the park everyone was rested and fresh. We all had to change clothes. Danielle opted to show her support to LSU and wear some shorts Michelle had given her for her birthday. Yes, they're pink but they do say LSU.

When we entered we had our picture taken while everyone was fresh. I don't know why Bailey has such an odd expression.

Then we did a Stitch Picture!

As soon as we started walking down the street we were almost hit by these two.

I took a few hat pictures!

We walked towards the hat then made a right. We took a walk by TSM just to make sure there were no more FPs and of course they were all gone. We walked back to "The Little Mermaid" and jumped in line. The show was about to start and it had started raining. I didn't have to time to look around or take any pictures, within minutes of entering the holding room them were opening the doors. Now I have always loved this show, but if it had just been Danielle and I we would have skipped it. I thought Tena and Bailey would like it. Everyone said they enjoyed the show, but I didn't find out until our last day that Tena had slept through it. On our last day every time we passed the building she would ask what it was and I kept telling "Remember we did that Tuesday night". She finally told me "Oh, yea I fell asleep during that one". After exiting the LM we found it was still raining so now it was time for Character Hunting. We went into the Animation building through the shop, skipping the movie. Bailey wanted to meet as many characters as possible and Danielle wanted to meet the characters from "UP". We saw this opening weekend and loved it. I cried several times and wouldn't have gone back again. I can't wait for it to come out on video. Bailey hadn't seen it and wasn't interested so we spit up.

Danielle with the "UP" characters.

And yes we did play with Doug and yell "Squirrel!" and he did look.

Bailey with the Big Cheese!

Continued in next post!

More Character Pictures!

Bailey and Danielle with Stitch.

I talked Danielle into meeting Frozone because she's never done it.

I didn't have to twist any arms for this character meet. Chip and Dale are a big favorite. They were the first characters she wasn't afraid of on her first trip.

How old are you!!

Love this one! It's a Danielle Sandwich!

I wanted to meet the Snow Queen so we stood in line. While waiting our turn I took these pictures. They're from UP!

More to come!

Our picture with the Snow Queen.

In honor of the Snow Queen I took this on the way out.

It was still raining so we did some shopping and penny pressing in the shops between the Animation Studio and LM. Danielle had money burning a hole in her pocket. She got a Fawn Fairy Doll and I picked up a princess towel set for my niece Lauren. She's 2 1/2 months younger than Danielle and loves the princesses. Tena picked up some stuff too so we combined our stuff to send back to the resort.

By now it was time to head towards the Wilderness Lodge. Boy was I excited. I had never been there and was really looking forward to looking around and to our dinner. I had read lots about this meal and was hoping it would be just a fun as what I had read. This was one meal I knew Dennis wouldn't want to do so this trip was the perfect opportunity to do it. I knew Bailey would love it too. She likes attention!

We got there a little early so we took some pictures in the lobby.

We checked in here.

The girls set up to play with the logs in the play area. Tena and I grabbed rocking chairs by the fire. Before we knew it our buzzer was going off. We were seating the big area right when you walk in, in the middle. I can't remember our waiter's name but he was the best. We ordered drinks right away. Next we ordered our meal. Tena and I got the skillet. On this meal Disney made a profit because there was no way we could even eat the first skillet they brought out. Danielle ordered the child ribs. I don't remember what Bailey ordered. While waiting for our food the horse races were started. Both girls jumped up to join. The race started right by our table. We seemed to be right in the middle of all the action!

Danielle grabbed a horse with the name Daniel on it.

And they're off!

Still more to come!

Tena and the girls took advantage of the milkshakes.

While waiting for our food they started a sing a long. And of course we were in the middle of it. We were singing "If your Happy and you know it". I was getting into in and before I knew what was going on a microphone was in front of me. She had gotten me from behind but Tena and the girls saw it coming. I covered my mouth real quick like and shut up. Of course it was good for a big laugh. Pretty quick our food was brought out.
The skillet.

Danielle's Ribs.

By now we had been there long enough for the girls to catch on about the whole ketchup thing. Mind you we did not need ketchup for anything! So they called for ketchup. The first time we weren't heard since the ketchup was all the way in the back, but the second call was answered.

Our waiter took this one for us.

And the ketchup Mickey the waiter made us.

Now it was time for desert. Sorry I can't remember what we got. Our wonderful waiter remembered we were celebrating birthdays and brought this our for the girls and sang "Happy Birthday" to them.

As soon as he was finished he picked up the cupcake and acted like he was going to take a big bite. Instead he tried to cream the girls. He got Danielle but Bailey moved too fast.

After this he brought out a new cupcake for the girls.

This meal was the most fun meal we had the entire trip. Everyone had a blast and I would repeat it again in a heartbeat. It was so great to go from the bad experience at Coral Reef to this.

One last picture of the lodge.

After we were done I asked the girls if they would like to go back to DHS for Fantasmic. The park was closing at 10 but Fantasmic would do a second show at 10:30. They were game but Tena was ready to call it quits. We caught a bus back to DHS and put Tena on a bus back to POP.

More to Come.

Vanessa my love I don't know how you put up with your sister LOL
She reminds me of an old woman that complains about everything, sleeps when she should be watching and then goes home cause she can't have fun oh and lets not forget about the ciggys LOL I know you love her but man I would have rung her neck by now.

Your trip sound like fun. Glad you had a better experience at WCC

I got a question its VERY VERY important. Pay close attention to this one.
Is the Snow Queen always there? I saw her once in all my "ears" going that was in 2003. I have seen Mickey, the incredibles Or Frozone and the most recent "movie star" but never Chip N Dale and the Queen there.

It was around 10 when we got back to DHS. The park was closed and I was worried they wouldn't let us in. But they did due to the late showing of Fantasmic. I was in a rush to get there knowing there was a long walk to get seated. I was also worried we would be all the way to the left. It would have been great to get some night pictures of the park, but oh well. We rushed down Sunset and to the theater. Guess what? It wasn't that crowded. We got there with about 10 minutes to spare and were seated in the middle right by the bathrooms. A real life saver for me cause I really had to go. Danielle and I love this show. If it had just been the two of us I was planning to skip it after reading all the horror stories due to the limited shows. But once again I wanted Bailey and Tena to see as much as possible. We didn't have to wait long for the show to start. Poor Bailey during the show I would look over at her and she was fighting hard to stay awake. It does get kind of slow where they're showing the movies on the water screens. She perked up at the end though.

Excuse my horrible pictures.

After the show we made the long walk back to the front of the park.

Of course the bus was full and we three has to stand. But we had the best bus driver. He was too funny. He spoke in a very monotone voice but cracked everyone up. First he explained that no one should stand in the area by the back doors. If he made a wide turn they would fall out and we would spend the next 3 hours waiting on the FL state police while we all gave our information. Once we were moving he would tell everyone when he was going to turn right or left and once he said "not a right turn" meaning left. He kept right on talking the whole way back. Not that it's that far, DHS is really close to Pop. He explained the new program started for misbehaving kids. After the buses were finished running for the night, parents could put there kids on the buses. The kids would be taken back to the bus depot and would spend the night washing buses and be returned in the morning to the resorts. He went on and on about it. I wish I could remember it all because it was a hoot. As we were turning down the road to Pop he warned of a "big right turn". By now it was quiet and it was a big turn. Bailey commented "Boy it wasn't kidding, that was a big turn". The bus driver heard her and said "Yes it is and it has always been that way". She got a real kick out of his commenting on what she said. On the way off the bus I thanked him for making that bus ride so special.

Back at the Pop we headed back to our room to get ready for bed. We had another rope drop. Wednesday was Magic Kingdom day and we wanted to see the opening show.

This was the first time we saw Chip and Dale and the Snow Queen there. I don't know if the weather had anything to do with it. They switched out characters about every 20 minutes. Aladdin was also in there. The Snow Queen switched off with Radcliff. Plan on going in there several times a day to check.

I forgot to mention it but LSU lost that night to Texas. So the series was tied at one a piece. Michelle hated it that they lost on her birthday. The final game was set for the next night.

HI Vanessa! Was this by any chance between 5 and 6 in the afternoon? I've heard about the characters they bring out around that time, but am curious if I should be checking at other times......

I'll get my shot 2 WEEKS FROM TODAY!

Thanks for keeping me entertained while I wait!
