"Hurry & fly away to Neverland before it's too late!" Trip wrap up page 30

I think Danielle and Amelia would get along great! She's also a big fan of the fairies, and I didn't know a new fairie movie was coming out, so thank.:goodvibes I love the interaction she had with Tink, what a great memory, and I can't wait to hear about her talk with Peter. You guys saw some great characters!

I love the Fairies and so does Madison. Tink is our favorite character. On our Jan trip, we got to meet Iridessa, Tink and Silvermist. They were all so wonderful and took a good amount of time with Maddie. I love all of your character pics! They turned out great.

The whole time I was reading your report I was thinking the same thing. Did you get another 40% off card this week for Justice? We did and I'm slowing buying Danielle's fall/winter stuff. Not that's is cold for long here. The new fairy movie comes out October 27th. I love character hunter, Danielle not so much.

Fairies are a favorite in this house. We always tell Danielle she has attitude like Tink. She has a pin of Tink that says "Little Miss Attitude".

Hello and :welcome: I'm so glad you're here. I've really enjoyed your reports. I hope you don't mind a little drama.

By the time we finished with the last round of characters we were getting hungry. As we passed Mickey's House it was finally open and there was no line. Of course we had to go inside.

Look Mickey is a football fan!

A fisherman!

And his kitchen looks like mine. Dennis started remodeling my kitchen years ago and still hasn't finished.

I love Mickey's garden, it's just so colorful.

On our first trip when Danielle was 3 she had a blast playing in the little park.

So we finally made our way out of Toon Town to look for food. We headed towards Cosmic Rays. We missed eating with Sonny Eclipse last trip and needed to make up for it. Here's where things got frustrating. We approached it from Fantasyland, we tried the first door, wouldn't open and kept going around until we found the right door. How frustrating! I know it's most likely to help the flow of the crowd but I just wasn't expecting this. Of course it was crowded. But we had this down pat. We got the girls orders then sent them to grab a table, hopefully with Sonny. Soon I got a call and we had scored a table down front! Sorry I don't remember what we got and I didn't take a picture of the food, but I did take one of Sonny.

and the sign

Continued in next post.

As we exited Cosmic Rays we were in the perfect place for a bathroom break and to catch "Storytime with Belle". Tena took off for her smoke break and I took the girls in to get a seat. We found a place all the way to the left right in front of the stage. When Danielle was 4 she lucked out and was picked to play Chip. She was so small and so cute. It's one of my favorite memories. Since that trip she had never been picked again, but we still enjoy the show. I love it when the Dad's get suckered in to being Beast. While we were waiting to start Bailey realized she didn't have her Birthday Photo Pass Card any longer. She had left it with the last CM that took her Princess pictures. I knew we should have taken a picture of our cards, at this point we had 3 cards with pictures on them. I was just being lazy up to this point. So quickly I took a picture of the two cards I had. A little while after the show started Tena finally made it back from her break. At this point the garden was full and they weren't letting people in, but somehow she convinced the CM to let her in.

Danielle watching the show.

We didn't hang around to meet Belle but backtracked to Toon Town to see if we could locate the card. Tena was on a mission. She entered the Princess line from the exit and went straight to the photographers. I waited in the store for her. She wasn't successful and was told to check with the photo desk in the store. They directed us to City Hall. What a mess. Some of our best group pictures were on that card. Bailey took such pride in using her card when they asked for one. So now we had to go back to the front. That wasn't so bad since it was time to leave for our break anyway. Before leaving we jumped in line for Minnie's House. Earlier the line had been way to long.

Everyone has to take a picture in the chair.

My daughter is so crafty!

More in next post.

She had to play in the kitchen.

And a garden picture.

After we exited Minnie's House we caught the train back to the front of the park. As soon as we got off the train we made a bee line for City Hall. I think there might have been a line but Tena walked straight up the the next available CM behind the desk. She doesn't follow rules when she's on a mission. After we explained what happened to the CM she asked us what time was it when Bailey was taking pictures with the Princesses. We narrowed down the time and she started pulling pictures from about 30 minutes before that time. After a while we spotted someone that had been in line a couple of people before them. Finally we spotted Bailey, from there she was able to pull up all the pictures associated with the card. She issued us a new card and linked all the old pictures to the card. She was a lifesaver. Of course you already knew everything turned out okay since I posted her Princess pictures. But this was huge for us. So many of our group pictures were on that card. Before we left the building I took a picture of the new card.

Here is where my memory is failing me. At some point I got FPs for Buzz to use later that night. I think I did it while we were waiting for Belle. So we were holding FPs for BTMR and Buzz for that night. It was now time to leave for our break.

Up next our best tasting meal and a special ride.

I've made it through page 9 and am needing to go to bed.....
The girls are so cute together and seem to be getting along so far. You have been very patient with your sister but I can tell by your comments you are putting forth great effort.
Smoking at Disney is a real pet peeve of mine. My opinion......it should be banned from the parks entirely. Period. I hate walking past nicotine alley as we call them....
Be back in the morning!

So THAT'S where you got the name for your TR. How cute! :goodvibes I seriously would love to be Tink if I worked at WDW. Everyone tells me I'd be perfect for it since I'm short and little and blonde like her.

Wow, the Belle that you met and the Belle from the show are both gorgeous! princess:

Just finished, I love your writing style! Very direct and to the point. I'm almost thinking that you could come up with some sort of code word for Tena's smoke breaks, it seems like you take up so much space typing about them!:rotfl:

The girls are just so cute, I hope the socks took care of Bailey's feet because I know how much those blisters hurt!
I don't think I know where this tear drop area is....
Oh and I'm glad you were able to locate that photo pass card.

One more thing, when your sister is on a mission and just does her own thing, do you feel like hiding somewhere?:headache:

For the most part they really did get along. Danielle even found herself defending Bailey when she felt Tena came down to hard on her. She doesn't like it when things aren't fair in her eyes.

I don't have patience for the breaks but I was really trying and I really wanted Bailey to have a great time. Smoke makes my sinus go nuts.

You would make the perfect Tink!!

They were! I have pictures from a previous trip and that Belle wasn't so hot.

I'm open to suggestions because it gets worse.

The socks helped but she had trouble all week. Before we left everyday and at every break I would put moleskin on her.

I don't think I know where this tear drop area is....

It's to the right of the big tent, between the tent and the railroad tracks.
Oh and I'm glad you were able to locate that photo pass card.

So was I!!!

One more thing, when your sister is on a mission and just does her own thing, do you feel like hiding somewhere?:headache:

I just want to crawl into a hole somewhere.

Wow your sister smokes a lot, you are fantastic for putting up with it :thumbsup2

So great that you finally got to see the fairies and thank goodness you were able to retrieve your photos :goodvibes

She most certainly does. I just don't get it. She starts her day with it, "so she can wake up" and ends her day with "it helps me go to sleep". If she wakes up in the night she has to do it then too.

So great that you finally got to see the fairies and thank goodness you were able to retrieve your photos :goodvibes

It was worth the wait to see them. I bought a Tink frame before we left and I've framed the picture of Danielle and Tink. It's sitting on her desk in her room.

We went back to Pop to take our rest and recharge ourselves. I took my usual break, Tena snored away and the girls rested too. Bailey actually fell asleep. When I got up to take the girls for their swim Tena stirred and said to let Bailey sleep. So, I took Danielle for her swim. Later that night I wished we both had rested more (foreshadowing). Danielle is a very talkative child and has always made friends with ease. Although she didn't have Bailey to swim with she soon made other friends. After her swim she once again showered in the bathrooms by the pool. When we went back to the room she dressed and I took a bath to freshen up. With clean clothes on we were ready for our 'Ohana meal. Tean and Bailey were soon ready too. We caught the MK bus and were soon on our way. Our ADR was for 6:25. When I booked this meal it was for 3 back when Dennis was still going. This was going to be our first meal that I was bumping to 4 when I checked in. Once we got to MK we headed toward the Monorail resort ramp. This would be Tena and Bailey's first ride on the monorail and they were really looking forward to it. As we walked up the ramp I noticed there was only one other family on the landing and guess what they weren't up at the front. At this point my mind was moving fast could it be that maybe they would get the treat of riding up front. I started talking out loud to myself and to the others I wasn't making sense. I walked past the other family and right up to the CM. "Would it be possible for us to ride upfront?" I waited for his answer on pins and needles. Maybe and maybe only until the Contemporary stop. They were expecting a film crew to be upfront, if not they might be getting on at the Contemporary. I would take whatever I could get. At this point I was trying to explain the importance of the moment to Tena. We were going to ride up front! Did she even know who special your first ride on the monorail is especially when you get to ride upfront! Looking back this was even more special after what happened a week later. Has anyone heard if they let people ride up front at all anymore? Right after I secured us the front the monorail pulled in and yes we were loaded in the front. Danielle knew how special it was. Although she did ride up front on her first trip in 2002 she doesn't remember it and I don't have pictures. Soon we were off.

When we got to the Contemporary the film crew had already left so yes, we got to stay upfront all the way to the Poly!

Once at the Poly we checked in and we were given our beeper thingy. We had a seat in the lounge but didn't partake of any drinks.

I took this while we waited.

We didn't wait long and were soon seated in the main dinning room all the way to the left by the window. We had a real large table with chairs left over. Our waiter was great but I don't remember his name. He was from Slidell, La and had been there since after Katrina. He was also an LSU fan. Remember LSU was playing the last game of the College World Series that night. Right after we were seated the fun started. First up with the limbo. The guy who was hosting the fun needed someone to help hold the limbo and stick and Danielle was chosen.

After a while she joined in the fun too.

By the time the girls came back the first round of food was there. The menu had changed every time we've gone but it's always been good. We enjoyed the salad, noodles, wings and veggies. We also sampled the dipping sauces while we waited for the meat. Tena absolutely loved the peanut sauce and ended up getting the recipe. Before we knew it the meat came too. After we started chowing down on the meat they called people up for the hula. Pay real close attention to Bailey in these pictures. She had a mouth full of food but wasn't about to miss out on the fun.

After the hula the girls came back to finish our meal. This was the best tasting meal. Tena kept saying how much she loved and understood why this was our favorite family meal. So now we had two big hits two night in a row. After the dessert was brought out it was time for the birthday celebration. Our waiter brought out cupcakes for the girls and the host came to the table too. He was an older gentleman and could do the best Mickey voice. We had heard him do it for the girls at the table next to us and Danielle really thought he was Mickey.

While we sang Happy Birthday the girls had Mickey ears.

All of us happy and very well fed.

Danielle enjoying her cupcake.

Some pictures I took before we left the Poly.

With everyone in high spirits we headed back to the MK. The plan was to hit Tomorrowland, BTMR, do a little in Fantasyland, try to catch Wished and Spectro. The park was open til 12 and we were going to stay as long as we could stand it.

We we entered we took these photopass pictures.

A Tink picture.

We walked down Main Street and headed for Buzz to use our FPs.

Here Danielle and Bailey's redneck picture.

Some fun shots.

After Buzz we headed to Monster's Inc. We did this for the first time in 2007 and it was cute. This time around it was really pretty funny.

The only picture I took.

By the time we got out it was getting real dark. Danielle wanted to ride Astrorbitor since she had never done. There was no way I was going to do it. I don't do round and round. There was a line but it didn't took too bad so the girls jumped in line. Tena and I had a bathroom break at the restrooms right by Space Mountain. It was also right by the smoking area. Perfect. While we waited I took these night shots.

We also both called our spouses. Dennis was working but the game was on the radio in the kitchen. At this point things didn't look good for the Tigers. They were down but not out. It seemed like we waited for a long time for the girls. Finally they came off the ride and Danielle wasn't feeling so hot. Seems she didn't really like the round and round. So we went straight to get her a coke. I read somewhere that it would help settle her stomach. She lucked out and both girls were given a free coke in honor of their birthdays. We made our way towards Fantasyland. Tomorrowland just looked so deserted without Space and the TTA being open. As we walked we came upon the Speedway and the line wasn't bad. We all four jumped in. We figured we would ride in two cars. Tena and Bailey would get the car in front of us, so she wouldn't have to worry about someone hitting her from behind. When we got up to the cars guess what? Danielle was tall enough for her own car! She got the first car, Tena behind her and I had the rear. While we were loading I looked up and they were putting a sign on the back of Danielle's car. It was a sign declaring her birthday. At this point I was getting in my car and didn't have my camera out, I would have loved to have a shot of it. After our slow ride though the country we headed for Fantasyland.

Of course the first ride we came to was the Tea Cups. Danielle still wasn't feeling like going round and round so we skipped it. Tena and Bailey really wanted to ride Small World. Aunt Berna had talked to Tena about this one ride and told her it wasn't to be missed so Small World it was. After Small World we tried Tea Cups but Danielle still refused so Tena rode it with Bailey. At first she seemed okay while we watched until she saw a little girl in a tea cup with her dad. See this is the ride she always rides with Dennis. Not only was her stomach not up to it but she didn't want to ride without him. Before long she was in tears missing her Dad. I think part of the problem was it was getting late and she was real tired too.

When Tena and Bailey got off it was time for Wishes. I had wanted to be in front of the castle for it but it wasn't going to happen. I wasn't too upset because I knew we still had one more night we could catch it. We went to grab some seats in front of Pinocchio's but the CM told us the fireworks are on top on the building and we wouldn't see them from there. He suggested in front of Dumbo. So we stood with lots of other people to watch. Although we were very close to the fireworks it wasn't the same. You just don't get the full effect from where we were. You could also get whiplash from turning back and forth. First to look behind and to look at the castle. But it was enough to spark Tena's interest in seeing the full show they way it should be seen. As we headed toward BTMR we wanted to stop do Haunted Mansion, but Danielle refused. She has a big fear of this ride. She was too young the first time she did it and she still fears it. I wasn't going to miss it since it had been redone since the last time we rode. I let it go for now but knew we would have to compromise at some point. I wouldn't push riding it at night.

I've got to go and fix some dinner I'll try and write some more tonight.

Wonderful update! I so enjoyed all of your pictures! Sitting up front on the monorail. :thumbsup2 What luck!
I think O'hana was one of our favorite meals last summer. I don't think I'm ever as stuffed as I feel when we walk out of there! The full mouth hula pictures so funny!

Sorry about the tea cup tears. I'll bet she was just really tired. I've heard about watching Wishes from behind the castle and after reading what you have to say I think it will be a no...
Can't wait to see how the rest of the evening goes!

Ohana looks like it was a lot of fun. We always come out of there SO full we can't move! :rotfl2:

'Ohana's was a big hit. Food and fun in one place.

Me too! Best food of the trip. We're real big meat eaters.

I've heard such great things about O'hana. We may have to put it on our "next time" list! It seems like you had a wonderful evening at MK that day. I love being at MK at night! It's just so much more magical!
