"Hurry & fly away to Neverland before it's too late!" Trip wrap up page 30

Hey Saint Vanessa Thanks for that tidbit

PS. maybe LSU lost cause Dani was in PINK shorts :rotfl: (you know me and pink :lmao: )

Could be the reason, I never thought of that. Of course earlier in the day I was wearing purple.

HI Vanessa! Was this by any chance between 5 and 6 in the afternoon? I've heard about the characters they bring out around that time, but am curious if I should be checking at other times......

I'll get my shot 2 WEEKS FROM TODAY!

Thanks for keeping me entertained while I wait!

I think it was about that time. I know I was trying to get in there before they ended for the day. There were characters everywhere in there.

Another great update Vanessa! Sounds like you had a great time at Whispering Canyon. We've only been there once - Ohana's seems to be our family favorite "go to" meal.

Can't wait to hear more! popcorn::

What a great meal at WCC. That was one of the restaurants I was trying to get for my birthday, but I didn't have any luck (Sci-Fi was great though!). In all of my trips, I have never seen Fantasmic. I've heard such wonderful things about it. It was on the to-do list in January, but it started raining and didn't let up. I was not about to sit in the rain to watch the show. It sounds like the 2nd half of your day was much better than the 1st half!

We love 'Ohana too! It's coming up on Wednesday night and wins as the best food meal. It was our best all around for food and fun until WCC.

Our second half of the day was true Disney Magic. The kind of day you plan on having. You just have to try WCC. Try it for dinner. I read that it's more fun at dinner than lunch.:woohoo:

I'm so glad you had a fun experience at WCC. What a fun family restaurant.:)
I've heard that the wait staff can make or break your experience there. It sounds like you had a really good one.:thumbsup2

I think F! is one of the best shows Disney puts on. I really, really hope they add back some more showings, though, because 10:30 is late!

I love the Danielle sandwich! Too cute!

We had the best waiter! And we told him that too! I would got back again for some more family fun.

This is a favorite of ours too. We haven't missed it since our first trip in 1999. 10:30 was very late. On our second day at DHS I heard a CM tell several people to go to the later showing that day due to low crowds.

I love the Danielle sandwich! Too cute!

This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip. She loves Chip and Dale and they really played with her on this visit.

What fantastic character photos, you saw loads didn't you :thumbsup2

Glad you loved WCC, we didn't have a very good meal there last year, sounds as though we were just unlucky though :)

I love character meets. Danielle not so much anymore. I guess that's part of getting older.

What happened at your meal? Was it your waitstaff? I'm really glad we had such a great experience.

These are pictures from Disney but I wanted to share them. We took these on Labor Day at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans.

This gorilla looks like he's posing for GQ!

This one looks like he/she is posing for an adult magazine.

 The Danielle Chip n Dale sandwich is just too cute. WCC looks like a lot of fun. :thumbsup2

Not loving the gorilla centerfold :scared: :rotfl2:

Finally it was time to go to the Magic Kingdom. I really love all the parks but the Magic Kingdom is my favorite. And I love the show at rope drop. So of course we were up early. Breakfast was in the food court and today I ate a good breakfast. I had an omelette and Danielle had her breakfast platter. After our usual stop for pins for trading we were in line for the bus. We made it to the Mk in good time. Through baggage check and the turnstiles. Soon we were in position to see Mickey arrive on the train. While waiting the girls enjoyed doing the hula hoops. For some reason my girls are really good at this but I have never been able to do it.

Please excuse my pictures my camera was still a little fogged over due to the heat.

The most welcome sight!

Opening show!

See Danielle watching! She loves the show too.

Here come the characters!

The opening Family. What I wouldn't do to be that family someday.

Once the show was over we like everyone else took off. So no pictures of the castle I was on a mission. The girls and I were headed to get Splash FPs and ride BTM. I had showed Tena where she could meet us after she had made it down Main Street. There was a smoking area right at the exit of BTM. Once again I'm a very fast walker and I had warned the girls that if they went with me they had to keep up. Danielle did okay but Bailey's feet were hurting from yesterday. She had blisters but failed to mention that until we were on our dash. To make matters worse she was wearing a pair of shoes without socks so it was rubbing real bad. Like any good Disney freak I carry moleskin with me but not into the parks. My bag can only hold so much. We made it to Splash grabbed FPs for all four of us and skipped on over to BTM. I love the BTM!! We rode standby and it was okay but I like the other track better. When we exited we met up with Tena and headed to Adventureland to do a few things until it was time to ride Splash.

We took the path along the back to Pirates. Pirates was a walk on and soon we were cooling off inside. We went farther into Adventureland and the girls rode The Magic Carpets with little wait. I was trying to pass time until we could get a FP for Jungle Cruise. When the girls got off the Carpets Bailey and Tena wanted to go ahead and do the Jungle Cruise. The line didn't look too bad so we hoped in. I think we waited about 15 minutes, not too bad.

We were seated towards the front on the middle thingy. Our tour guide was pretty good. Not the best I've had but not the worse either. She did the usual jokes which I love. I think it makes your ride so much better if you're sitting up close. Tena and Bailey really seemed to enjoy the ride too.

Continued in next post.

More Jungle Cruise!

Now this use to be one of the rides Danielle was scared to ride. She was 3 the first time we took her and the only thing she remembered was the glowing red eyes of the Tiger in the cave. In 2004 we waited in line to ride and right before we loaded she pitched a fit to go to the bathroom, her way to avoided riding. Since that time she has overcome her fear and really likes it. She even knows some of the jokes. Once the ride was over and we were waiting to unload the tour guide had to pass some time so she started telling some really bad jokes. The lady next to me gave away one her of punch lines. Tena thought it was me. When she asked "Where do you find Ariel in the dictionary? Danielle blurted out "Under the Sea". She was told she couldn't talk anymore for the rest of the ride. She loved the attention.

It was time for another smoke break and Danielle and I needed the restroom. We hit the bathrooms by Swiss Family tree. Before we went back to meet Tena and Bailey I looked around trying to find some socks. No luck in the clothing store by the restrooms but they suggested a kiosk by Aloha Isle. Bingo! We found socks! Of course I couldn't buy Bailey something and not Danielle so she got a Mickey and Tink jibbet for her crocs. We met back up with the other and headed for Splash! My favorite themed ride.

After much discussion we had decided Tena would give this ride a try. It's not jerky and the landing is pretty smooth, but I was still worried.

The is the only picture I took in the ride.

Here is our red-neck ride picture.

The girls loved being up front and I'm holding onto Tena.

In the dump shop Danielle just had to by her favorite candy. She spent her money on some Rock Candy.

After her ride Tena needed another smoke break. I took the girls to wait in line to meet Cowboy Goofy.

Here is a picture of Danielle enjoying her Rock Candy right before she got her knee stuck between the posts.

Don't worry we were able to work it back out.

Waiting for Goofy.

See Danielle still enjoying her rock candy.

Bailey.

Up next Toontown and the Fairies!

Ahh I love the Jungle Cruise! We're always the only one who laughs at our skipper's jokes!

Wow, great pictures of the opening ceremony! I think its the best one by far.:) Jungle Cruise is a classic that we just didn't get to this trip. How fun that Danielle knew the punch line.

Amelia loves rock candy, too. The combination of being so pretty and 100% sugar is irresistable!:rotfl:

I love the corny jokes. This is a must every trip.

I was real happy with my pictures for this. Can't wait to scrapbook it. There are so many things we didn't get to this trip.

Rock candy is a must for Danielle. She got some when we went to the Audubon Zoo on Labor Day too.

Looks like a great day! I love the MK morning show and we'd love to be the opening ceremony family too. How much fun would that be?!

I would be over the moon to be that family!!

I love the opening show. It brings tears to my eyes. We didn't see it for the first time until our New Years 2006 trip, now I have to see it at least once every trip.

After visiting with Goofy we grabbed another set of FPs for BTMR and caught a train for Toon Town. My plan was to met Tinker Belle. Danielle loves Tink and the other fairies. Her favorite other fairy is Fawn. Right now we are waiting for the next Fairy movie to come out next month.

I knew we were going to hit the distraction of the character right when you get off the train. I think it's called the teardrop meet and greet. I was right. As soon as Bailey saw the characters she made a bee line. And the best part for Tena was it's right by a smoking area. Danielle wasn't really interested in the character except for one she had never met. And this was another character I've been hoarding a scrapbooking swap of for several years.

Pinocchio!

I don't remember what other characters they had but Danielle was soon bored. We wondered over to Donald's boat and eventually Tena and Bailey met us over there. Not too long after that another group of character came out. For some reason Mickey's House was closed so the line for Minnie's House was extra long as was Goofy's Barnstormer. We always enjoy a quick ride on the Barnstormer but it was too hot to wait in that line and Toon Town was crowded. We ended up skipping it this trip and now that I've read it will be changing into a circus themed ride, it makes me even more sad we missed it. For Danielle it was her first roller coaster at Disney. Eventually I took Danielle into the County Bounty for a little retail therapy and to cool off. After a few phone calls Tena and Bailey met up with us. It was finally time to tackle the line for the fairies. The line had a 30 minute wait for the Princesses and 45 for the fairies. I knew going in we would have a wait. Tena opted for the Princesses. I didn't care to see them since I knew we would see most of them at the Storybook Breakfast on Friday. When we entered the line we were standing next to each other. I knew she would get out before us so I asked her to pick up an Aurora stuffed doll Danielle wanted that was 50% off. Although we started out even her line moved much faster than ours. We took the opportunity to eat some snacks and drink some water while we waited. Boy that line moved slow.

Some pictures I took while in line.

Bailey's Princess Pictures.

Tena with Cinderella.

Almost there!

Continued in next post.

Finally it's our turn!

Right after meeting Tink she pulled Danielle aside. Because it was her birthday Tink had some important advice for her that only she could hear.

I didn't hear every thing but it went along the lines that she needed to hurry and fly away to Neverland because once she turned either 11 or 12 it would be too late. So, this is where I got my title. It was her birthday trip and Tink told her she needed to hurry and get to Neverland. But that's not all. Later that night Peter Pan has something to tell her too.

Love these pictures with Tink!

Although the area was set up for 3 fairies we only saw 2. Up next was Silvermist.

Our time with the fairies was over so we met up with Tena and Bailey in the County Bounty. Purchases were made and sent back to the resort. Danielle and I went on a potty break and took this picture.

Back to the Tear Drop area for more characters. We actually found some character for Danielle to meet.

We love the mice from Cinderella.

Pluto!

and Meeko!

More to come!
