"Hurry & fly away to Neverland before it's too late!" Trip wrap up page 30

I've heard such great things about O'hana. We may have to put it on our "next time" list! It seems like you had a wonderful evening at MK that day. I love being at MK at night! It's just so much more magical!

'Ohana's is the best!! Try to go there on you're next trip. Our evening was great, being there after dark is just a little more special.

Your 'Ohana meal sounded lovely and the photos with the food in the mouth are hilarious :rotfl:

We love Monsters Inc too it's so funny, sorry about Danielle getting an unsettled tummy and then getting all upset

Absolutly loved 'Ohana. I think I'll have some bribery pictures for her future with those pics.

I enjoyed Monsters much more this time around. Poor Danielle she did have her rough spots. At least she can say she rode Astrorbitor. My other two have never done it. I tell her you sent a hug.

I have every intention of posting another update this weekend and finally finishing this MK day. But first I want to post some pictures from our prior trip and our family dinner at 'Ohana. This trip started the day after the girls got out of school and went through Memorial Day and into June. We brought my oldest Brent and his wife Hannah. For Hannah this was her first ever trip to Disney. I love taking someone to Disney for the first time! Our first park day was spent at Animal Kingdom. When we left the park we cleaned up and had our first family meal....'Ohana. This was of course our favorite meal of the trip.

Brent and Hannah waiting for our table and enjoying their first drink.

I love this picture of Michelle. Her expression!

Our Hula lessons.

TinkGurl this ones for you! Brent with his Lupa Lupa.

Look how tiny Danielle was.

Dennis after 3 Long Island Ice Teas.

We love this Meal!

What were your dates? We arrived May 24th and left June 4th. I'll have to go look in my pictures to see if spy ya'll.

'Ohana's was our first dinner on the 25th after spending the day at AK. Michelle, Brent, Hannah and I hit Pleasure Island for a little while after this while Dennis took Danielle back for some swimming. This was my first and only trip to Pleasure Island before they shut so much down. I went went to the Adventure's Club but I loved it.

Gosh I have no clue, but it was probably a Sunday through Friday...I'll have to check a calendar.

When last I left off we had just seen "Wishes". Everyone but Danielle wanted to catch HM. I believe this is when we compromised and instead went to Small World. It doesn't matter how old Danielle is she still loves this ride. From here we made our way towards BTM to use the FPs we had gotten earlier in the day. We parked Tena in the smoking area right at the exit and jumped in line. This was our best ride yet! BTM in the FP line at night is the greatest. We all 3 agreed it was much better at night. When we exited I checked my phone to see if Tena had tried to call. She hadn't but I did missed a call from my daughter Michelle. She had called from work. I started to get a real good feeling and then I got a text from a co-worker, it said "Geaux Tigers!" Right then I knew we had to have won. My phone rang and it was Michelle again. Yep, LSU had just beat Texas and were the College World Series Champions! We met back up with Tena and started heading out through Liberty Square. As we were leaving people were lining up for the 2nd run of Spectro. There weren't that many people out so we grabbed a spot in front of Sleepy Hollow. I've never sat here for the parade we usually sit farther into Frontierland by the Shooting Arcade or Trading Post. Because it real close to the bridge it's real narrow. We ended up being real close to the floats and characters. While waiting for the parade to get to us we grabbed some water and just rested. I can never take good picture of this parade so please excuse my pictures.

The girls got lots of attentions from the characters walking due to being so close. The best attention Danielle got was from Peter Pan. He walked right up to her, he must have seen her birthday button. He told her almost the same thing Tink had told her. She needed to hurry and get to Neverland before it was too late. That really made her day. Twice she had been told to go to Neverland. This was just another example of why I love Disney. The characters really know how to make it special. I can honestly say we have always had great character interaction with Peter Pan. Even the time we almost ran into him on the backside of the castle. I was in the middle of doing a show and he was running from Captain Hook. He still stopped and greeted the kids.

Once the parade was over everyone was in high spirits but so tired. It was getting close to midnight, close to Danielle's actual birthday. We headed back out via the bridge towards the Crystal Place so we could make a bathroom stop. Once everyone was finished we stopped to take a picture with the castle in the background. I know we all look tired but this was one of my favorite photos.

Finally we walked back down Main Street and made the long trek to Pop's bus stop. The line was long but not too long. We had a CM manning the stop. While waiting for the bus he called all the birthday people to the front and had everyone sing Happy Birthday. This again made Danielle feel special since we were minutes away from her real birthday. I think we had to wait for the second bus, but at least we had a seat. We were back in our room and in the beds in no time. Since we had had such a late night I was nice and told everyone we would sleep in a little and not even try to make rope drop. The plan for the next day was Animal Kingdom and dinner at 1900 Park Fare.

All in all I would say it was a really great day.

We saw Spectro from that same location! Normally, we watch it from Main Street, but we tried out a new spot in June. We did love how close to the parade we were. It was really neat. How awesome that Danielle got so much attention that night. Disney is THE best place to spend your birthday!!!

I love that Danielle was able to spend her birthday in best place in the world. I know you enjoyed your birthday there too. Next up I would like to spend mine there. I'll have to work on that. Shouldn't be too hard, it falls during Thanksgiving week.

Ooooh you know I loved those Lapu Lapu pics! :) I could use one of those right now! :rotfl2:

I thought of you when I posted it!

I think this is one of the most perfect pictures of Spectro!

I'm glad Danielle had some special birthday attention! She won't soon forget how much fun she had on this amazing trip!

Thanks Anita! It really helped that we were sooo close to the parade. Danielle did have lots of pixie dust moments, but she still says Aunt Tena ruined her trip and she never wants to bring her again.:scared1:

Hi again! Forgive me for my extended absence.:flower3: I'm all caught up now. That Danielle has the most expressive face! So, so cute. Ohana is so yummy and I agree with Tena on the yumminess of the peanut sauce.

Aw, poor Danielle with the tea cups. Not feeling well combined with tiredness can do a number on your emotions.

So glad you got your photopass card back!!

I hope you get your ride on the HM. My kids agreed to ride this year and Amelia was NOT impressed!

Welcome back:welcome: I'm so glad you're back. Danielle is very much a ham.

Totally agree.

So glad you got your photopass card back!!

What a relief!

I hope you get your ride on the HM. My kids agreed to ride this year and Amelia was NOT impressed!

Stayed tuned. . .

When last I left off we had just had a Magical Day in the Magic Kingdom with lots of Pixie Dust. Danielle had a wonderful visit with Tinker Bell and Peter Pan had given her the same advice during Spectro. She was tall enough to drive a car all by herself, we had a wonderful night ride on BTMR and LSU had won the College World Series. I wish I could say that Danielle's birthday was just as great, but I can't. It wasn't bad but we did have the return of a little Drama.

Since we had such a late night before the Disney-Rope Drop Nazi relented and allowed all to sleep in a little. Instead of waking up the girls at 7 I was planning on waking them up at 8. It ended up being more like 8:30. Danielle had received most of her presents the night before we left, but I did sneak a few things in to give her on her real birthday. Of course we didn't want to leave Bailey out so we had something for her and Tena and a little something for her too. It was very hard to get the girls up and once again I had better luck getting Bailey up.

Each girl had a Disney towel with their name on it and a set of Disney night clothes.

We finally made it to the food court for breakfast. My receipt says I checked out at 9:37. I had the Mickey Waffles with fruit and whipped creme. Yum! Danielle had an adult pancake breakfast with bacon and chocolate milk. Up until this day we had been paying out of pocket for our breakfast and using credit for lunch. For some reason Tena used her CS credits instead. Before heading out for the bus, Tena and I both bought a sunglass strap. I was tired of putting my sunglasses up and taking them back off, also tired of them falling off the top of my head. This was the best $6 I spent.

I don't remember what time the bus came but we were at the turnstiles for around 10:15. Tena and Bailey hit the restrooms, Danielle and I went to Guest Services for her Birthday Fun Card. Well Guest Services was the wrong place to go and I was directed to Will Call. She was given her card and new birthday button. Since she was now officially 10 she was given the adult entrance price to spend.

Once in the park we headed to Nemo. We had to hurry to make the 11:15 performance. When we entered it was very full, but they were still letting people in. We ended up sitting in the first few rows. I felt it was too close and moved back a few rows to sit alone. The girls stayed up front. Danielle had seen this our last trip, but I missed a lot of it due to falling asleep. This time I didn't fall asleep and really enjoyed it. The girls loved it too. Tena didn't say much, I found out later she fell asleep.

After the show was over we headed towards Dinoland. Getting there late really messed me up. I'm a rope drop girl all the way. Getting there late threw me totally off. Danielle really wanted to ride Everest again but I just never seemed to get it together. I really wanted to hit some of the things we missed our first day there. It was also crowed due to getting there late and really hot. Of course at this point Tena needed a smoke break so we parked her and I took the girls to ride Dinosaur. Danielle does not like this ride but didn't want to let Bailey show her up. Plus this is one of Dennis' favorites. She wanted to be able to go back and tell Dennis how brave she was. As much as I hate waiting for rides we lined up to ride this stand-by. The line said 30 minutes but I do believe it was longer. We took a few pictures while we waited.

We had a great ride and Danielle actually kept her eyes open for the ride. If you ever look at our ride pictures from the past she's always way down in the seat with her ears covered and her eyes closed. Due to where we sat you really couldn't see us so I didn't buy the picture or take a red neck picture either.

We meet up with Tena and headed to the midway area. The others lined up for Triceratop spin while I watched. Again I don't do round and round. I don't remember why but Danielle was mad at Tena and didn't want to ride with her, too bad the CM didn't give her a choice and she had to share a dino with Tena and Bailey. Once off the ride Danielle's money was burning a hole in her pocket. She loves the play those stupid midway games. I had tole her there was no way I was giving her money for them and she had to use her own. This is another thing she shares with Dennis, they are both suckers for these games but he wasn't there to feed her addiction. She turned her money over and played the game where you toss your balls and try to get them to land in a certain hole. In the past both she and Michelle have had luck with this. Once again she lucked out and won a small stuffed dinosaur which we had sent back to the Pop. After winning she was satisfied and ready for something else. Bailey wanted to ride Primeval Whirl but Danielle had no interest in it. Tena stayed with Bailey to wait and we headed to the Boneyard. Boy was it hot! I tried to position myself by a fan to wait while she burned off some energy. After a while she wanted to go dig bones so we crossed over the bridge. That didn't last long, as soon as she got there her shoes came off and a CM promptly told her she had to wear her shoes. Not a happy camper we headed back over the bridge. About that time Tena called and said there were inside the playground too. The ride was down and they didn't want to wait for it to open again. Danielle was trilled because now she had someone to run around with. They headed back over the bridge and the shoes stayed on this time. Not being able to stand the heat anymore we headed back out and off to catch Festival of the Lion King.

We got there late and had to sit in the Warthog section. I truly love this show and couldn't wait to share it with Tena and Bailey. But I could now see a pattern forming, shows and Tena don't go along. She fell asleep in every show. I think this was the last show she did and did her best to avoid shows after this one. The one thing I knew she would be able to do she didn't enjoy. Well I enjoyed the show and here are a few pictures.

This show always chokes me up.

Well it's almost time for the LSU football game so I've got to stop for now.

You probably did the right thing letting them sleep in but it sure blows the day doesn't it? You can get so much done if you get there early.
You FOTLK pics are great, I was sick when we saw it last summer so it's nice to see some of what happened the show....

I'm glad Danielle decided to ride Dinosaur. I really like it but Shocker thinks it's too jerky...

Hope your team does well tonight! Mine didn't....
