boozy hallucinations?

OMG Planky has we got TONS to talk about....my boys are also guilty of the sins and pleasures of the body!

No one proofreads my stuff ... that's why I have to go back and edit all the time. Although ... if I didn't drink while I wrote maybe I wouldn't have so many mistakes in the first place. :lmao:

Greetings, Happy, or as Jay and I prefer to think of you ... Chronically Cheerful (CC for short).

My boozy hallucinations all take place away from the computer ... and far from the prying eye of Sheldon J. Plankton. But I'm sure he has some good stories to tell ... you two will have a fine old time together in Atlanta. If you see Aunt Pittypat would you tell her we said hello?

:goodvibes

Mother of Pearl!!!!

Whosoever amongst you extolled the cheesie joys of Whole Foods has our eternal gratitude ... :worship:

The closest one to us, and the only one in St. Louis, is 25 miles from our house. But because we were near that location taking care of some other business this afternoon, we finally had a chance to stop in and see what all the fuss is about.

I think I had an epiphany in their cheese department. Or maybe it was a small stroke. ;)

It's Blisssssssssssssssss ... :woohoo:

Do they sell wine too??? Jay might never have gotten you out of there!!! :goodvibes

Oh yeah, they sell wine but they didn't have a very large selection. We have another place in town that we go to when it's time to re-stock the wine rack. And believe it or not that's about once every 12-15 months. :goodvibes

I really do like cheese more than alcohol ... I know that may be hard to believe but it's true.

I just had to share this ...

I emailed Jay a little while ago and was lamenting the fact that I'm still hungry and am looking at a lunch of tomato soup with crackers and afternoon snacks of one Golden Delicious apple and a box of raisins.

This was his response:

Just give your soup/crackers a fancy sounding name, so it seems more
exotic...

I'm having an Alaskan salmon pate, with deconstructed carrot and tart
apple salsa; along with an herb-infused wild berry-plum tea.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

This is funny because Jay's lunch is a vacuum sealed pouch of salmon in water, raw carrots, and a Granny Smith apple, washed down with some unsweetened ice tea he brought from home.

I guess I'm not the only one missing the vacation food right now. ;)
...
:rotfl: :rotfl:
That is too good not to pass on. What a great way to loose weight:
I am having a slice of Wasa bread with butter scraped on it and a slice of the rarest roast beast you can imagine, sprinkled with some kosher salt and cracked pepper.
What do you call that?

I just discovered your trip report last night :rotfl2: :worship:

How about this:

Peppered Beef Carpaccio served on a Crispy Flatbread with Creamy Deconstructed Cow's Milk and Sea Salt Garnish?

It's the best we can come up with on short notice. :rotfl2:

I would have used the words "agitated cream" for the butter. ;)

Oooohhh.....we have one a few miles from the house and have to practice tremendous restraint EVERY time we go. Between the cheese selection, the olive bar, and the chocolate, we rarely get out of there for less than the price of a small island. Then we go home and eat. A lot. :thumbsup2

Brenda, guess what I had again this morning? Tonga Toast! It was spectacular.......

I read the Red Square review. Sounded quite tasty! I love any place that makes you feel you have gotten your money's worth, and that it has been a pleasure to serve you! :)

Hope you are both doing well! :goodvibes

I didn't see the Cheese Joy post, but I know I mentioned that Whole Foods has a tremendous cheese dept. I got that info from a friend, and she deserves all that credit. :)

Diggin' on the Vegas reviews! :thumbsup2

Red Square looked just phenomenal. That blini...OMG.

I can relate to the whole Star Trek obsession thing too, BTW. Except for us, it is Buffy and Angel, the latter of which we are currently watching for the 3rd time straight through on DVD. Hey, judge not lest ye be judged on your own guilty pleasures, right!

And believe me, if they had a Buffy the Vampire Slayer Experience in Vegas (or anywhere in the Western world, for that matter), we would so be having drinks and chatting up demons at the Bronze on our next vacation!

hmmmmmm, delicious.

I have bookmarked all of the links in your signature !

RE: Your geekiness.

My dh tries to say he's not a geek.
(Hmm....Digs in dirt looking for old things, studies the Ancient Acadian language AND Hebrew, enjoys discussions on Military History...need I go on???)

I say, there's two kinds of geeks: Geeks, and Geeks in denial.
It's best to give in and embrace your geekiness.

His response? "Is Indiana Jones a Geek?"
YES!!! And a HOT one at that!

So the lesson is: Men -- go with your inner geek, because women recognize that one can be a geek AND hot, AND, we know you are where all the money's at!

:thumbsup2
