Crystal: *whispers back* Oh, that's good. While we're on the subject, I don't think Voldemort would dare invade the school unless he had an army of Death Eaters with him, and even then, the only person he's scared of is Professor Dumbledore.

How is that all right? *bitterly* Well, I guess that's good for you, but some of us live in the real world, where life sucks, things always come back to bite you, and you have to depend on yourself because you can't trust anyone else any closer than arm's length. I'm a living example. My terrible parents........... You know, I have a motto: We all have secrets. The ones that we keep, and the ones that are kept from us.

OOC: Yes, the motto came from the Spiderman trailer. But it's just such an awesome line!

OOC: Part of Crystal's character is that she's got a reputation among the other students as "unbalanced" and a bit of a loner and a freak, so a lot of the students pick on her and dislike her, which in turn makes Crystal escape deeper into her shell. It's a huge cycle. When I was building her character, I decided to give her that reputation.

Crystal: It's nothing. *takes her hand away* *copies the homework off the board and packs her messenger bag, getting ready to leave* *stares at the ground* I just- my little sister.......well, it's a long story, and I'm not sure I should tell you. It's one thing to be around me in class, but - well, you know my reputation. I, er, left Carly a letter the night she got hurt, but I don't know if she's read it, and, well, she's young, I don't know if she'll understand. But, if word gets out that you're friendly to me, they'll go after you next, and Carly too, and, um, anyone else that's friendly to me. The life I have is not one I would wish on anyone. So please - leave me alone. You're a nice guy and, um, I'm sorry I called you a liar the other night. But, please, leave me alone, it's - it's for the best.

*bell rings to leave class for the morning break*

I, uh, I suppose I'll see you around. *throws her messenger bag over he shoulders and flees the classroom*
