Slacking, I tried to email you but it says you dont have that feature turned on. Anyways you NEED to help me. Theres so many places to get info on
HHN but I havent been able to find anything other than the main website for HOWL O SCREAM. I need info lol I will be attending Saturday Oct 1st. I went last year and absolutely loved the event. Is there anything special I should know about this year? Which is going to be the "best" house in your opinion? Is the dinner buffet/ "Haunt me baby" worth it? Last year my favorite house was Til Death do us Part. Has it been improved/modified this year? Which scarezone do you think is going to be the best? Any additional comments or tid bits would be greatly appreciated. I just need some info to start getting pumped up like I am for HHN (9/30) THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Thats odd, I can't be e-mailed, I'll try fixing that later.
I've only seen one house, but the consensus seems to be that "The Hunted" may be the house to beat this year. Its located in Kenya, a new location for a HoS house. "After Hours" (where Escape from Insanity used to be) is supposed be much-talked about too. Definitely an interesting theme to that house, but I won't ruin it here.
The Dinner buffet will get you 30 minutes of haunted house time before before the park officially opens (but those who go to Deathly Departed after eating won't see me, I have my first shift at 7:30pm, lol), and saves you time for later since you would already have seen the show. Honestly, in 30 minutes you could probably do The Hunted, After Hours, and 3rd Dementia, leaving most of the evening to be relaxing with plenty of time to do the houses multiple times. I'm neutral either way whether or not the fright feast is worth it, but it does give you a nice head start to the night (but whether the head start will be encessary this week remains to be seen.)
"Til Death Do Us Part" has been renamed "Deathly Departed" this year. It is very similar to the house last year, but some new rooms have been added, the ending has been completely changed, and a few other tweaks have been made. Overall, I think it'll be a better house this year.
As for scare zones, I think the most interesting will be Bone Grinders (lots of props in a small space, hopefully there is a good size cast there) and Widows Walk. Widows Walk doesn't have props out, but from what I know, it sounds to be very moody, so I hope its done well!
I actually think this year may be a great year for HoS, it sounds like it will be very well done. I actually have my final dress rehearsal in a few minutes, so hopefully I'll have a feel for "Deathly Departed" in its finished form. If you have any more questions, please e-mail me at
Slacking20@msn.com, or just post them here.
Mother Fletcher, I gotta run, but I'll respond to your post after my rehearsal.
