We have been to WDW in Dec once before and it was COLD!!! I wonder whether we had bad luck and what the usual temperatures are like in Dec. We've heard of people going and it being 80 degrees.................

We've had it both ways, sometimes on the same trip. We've worn shorts during the day and had to buy sweatshirts in the evening. Even when it is warm during the day, the evenings tend to cool off and you'll usually want a sweater or jacket. I tend to pack a lot of clothes for December trips because you just never know.

For me it was glorious last December. I went swimming every evening!

We have been going to WDW the beginning of December for 18 years. We have seen all kinds of weather. There have been years when it was cold and years when the days were in the high 80's. Typically the days are in the mid 70's, perfect for being in the parks. The nights a sweatshirt might be needed. It is our favorite time to be in WDW :cool1:

I have had it all ove the place. I've had it 85 and then the next day turn 45. It just totally varies for us when we've gone.

I remember last December as being a bit warmer. We don't have sweatshirts on in our pictures, and our Santa hats felt really (too) warm!

We went in '06, and wore pants (hubby wore shorts, but he is always hot) and short sleeve shirts. Tied a longsleeve or sweatshirt around waist to wear if it got chilly in the PM. Only had to do this a couple of nights. We stayed the 18th to 25th, trip report in my siggie.

In our dozen or so December trips since becoming members, we've seen everything from below freezing to the 90s. We take our usual shorts and polo shirts, but add jeans and sweatshirts. When it gets too cold for sweatshirts, there are always indoor things to do.

Our several trips in Dec have given us both extremes. We have pics of us in shorts and tees, then in hooded sweats the next year. Plan for both. You never know. But it is a great time to be in WDW no matter what the weather holds. Christmas decs. are up, and there is an extra magical feeling in the air. Have fun!!

From what I've read...Dec is hit or miss...

I was there 11-27-12-4-06 and it was 80 plus every day....

My friend was there the following week....and it was cool....
They had sweatshirts on in the day....and only swam one day...
Ya never know....the decorations are awesome though.
