How to see all the shows/parades etc?

NO....there's not. For Fantasmic, You will be stuck crammed in an area with tons of others and still not have a good view of what's going on...unless someone is willing to commit to staking out space at least an hour or two before the event or if you wait for second show. Parades are somewhat easier, especially if you go to the later showing. Dining packages are your best bet for Fantasmic. Can't speak to WOC as I don't ever watch it unless I do dessert party.

Odd question, do I have to go to the meal or can I just pay for the meal, pick up my passes and take off? None of our Fantasmic dining options look any good - but I'm willing to pay for the better seats.

Do the first show of Fantasmic, stay and watch Wondrous Journeys with Fireworks. They use the Fantasmic fountains for the projections, and you will see the higher level fireworks. Then if you walk with purpose straight to Galaxys Edge you might make Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga at 10.15pm.

Does this mean that if we stay to watch Wonderous Jorunes with fireworks we will still be able to watch the projections?

Rancho del Zocalo is counter service so you could get a drink, maybe cake, skip the meal, and go to the cashier. The cashier is who gives you the tickets after you pay.

At Rivers of America, the projections are on the water screens, so yes you get to see them.

Edit to add: People have reported asking for the cake in a togo container and saving it for later.

@maleficent55 I tried to take some additional photos in the IASW area yesterday.

This is the terraced area. I took it so you could see the railing on top of the planters. It is about waist high. If he can find a spot where the planter touches the front railing, I think he'll have a nice view and lots of support. Watch out for areas where the light poles might block your view.



This is the area by the IASW queue. It stretches all the way down. Your husband might do okay leaning on this railing. It is lower than the terraced area.



This is the area across from the VIP section that I said can pack in a lot of people. The viewing area starts on the lighter color bricks and fills in beyond where I stood to take this picture.
