How to get to Florida Mall-no car.

Can anyone tell me where the Florida Mall is?

It's between Sandlake Road and Orange Blossom Trail. It's served by a number of Lynx buses, the most useful of which are:

  • 42 - serves MCO in one direction; I-Drive all the way down to Prime Outlets in the other
  • 111 - serves MCO in one direction, DTD & TTC in the other
  • 37 - Intersects I-Drive and goes onto Universal Studios

Ok, I've had a look at some timetables and these are the routes we're planning on taking:

Downtown Disney- Florida Mall

111 to Florida Mall

Downtown Disney- Universal Studios

50 to Sea World, 8 to Wet 'n' Wild, walk/taxi to Universal

Downtown Disney- Prime Outlets

50 to Sea World, 8 to Prime Outlets

Prime Outlets- Mall At Millenia

24 to Mall At Millenia

:)

24 to Mall @ Millennia is only hourly so be sure to head to the bus stop in plenty of time :thumbsup2

Glad to see we have some converts; we have ordered our 7-day passes to start us off with - they are being shipped over so we will have them before we leave. The I-Ride trolley was our transportation of choice last year but it gets busy at peak times and isn't significantly cheaper than the Lynx passes, so we will use Lynx for the majority of our stay this year :thumbsup2

Why don't you just get the 50 from Disney direct to Sea World? From the same bus stop you can catch the 8 at no additional cost right the way up to Wet 'n' Wild. A cab from there would be around $5, or you can take a 10 minute walk.

The "Destination Parkway" is about a 10 minute walk to Sea World. Even if you choose to get a cab from Sea World, you may as well take the 50 bus straight to Sea World - the 50 and the 111 run exactly the same route inside WDW.
Can I get the 50 at the same stop as the 111 at DD marketplace?

Can you buy a day ticket on the bus?

Yes. :thumbsup2

You can buy 1-day, 7-day and 30-day passes online, too. They will ship them to the UK (or to your hotel) at no cost. Alternatively you can buy the 7- and 30- day passes from the Orlando Visitors' Centre on International Drive - near Walgreens!

I know what the US buses can be like time wise. If it stops all over the place...what sort of time length does it take to get from DTD to Florida Mall? I'm gonna use them, just would be useful to have some idea.

Thanks

Sorry - does the 111 also go to Premium Outlets?
:thumbsup2

Will save you a fortune!
:goodvibes It sure will, we are going for longer this time, so will have more time and it will be more relaxing.I

It takes about 40 minutes to get from DTD to the FL mall usually.

No. You need to catch the 50 from the TTC or DTD to Sea World and then transfer to the 8 to Premium Outlets.

Oh that's not bad at all. When I lived in the US it would take hour and a half to go to the mall 20mins away. 40mins is fine. Thank you :)

:surfweb: We could take the 42 from Sea World to Prime Outlets too, couldn't we? The 42 is the recommended bus on the Prime Outlets website. Which route is easier?

The 42 doesn't stop at Sea World.

The easiest way from Disney is to take the 50 to Sea World and then change to the 8 to the Prime Outlets.

The 50 and the 42 don't intersect so you would have to walk a block or two to the bus stop to catch the 42. Taking the 8 is much easier.
