The format of the dates is what gives that screenshot away as being the USA site - unless a new 15th month of the year has been introduced without me noticing :lmao:

Just learn Spanish Wayne, the USA Español tab works ;)

From there the US English option appears, however pressing it takes me straight back to the UK site

Easy for you.
I almost Pm'ed you earlier, Matt is doing a piece of English coursework, wanted to know how a Liverpudlian pronounced a word something like "cracking" do you accentuate the "g" on the end, I said you do unlike us in Yorkshire that totally misses the last letter. Maybe you could record yourself and send it to him:rotfl2: I think you could be a case study, he will be recording you in April.:lmao:

Very strange indeed I'm using Chrome and I can get directly on using www.disneyparks.com it takes me straight onto the US site. I've just made a complete dummy booking and it worked fine even giving me a total package price is $$ :confused3

I have tried by hiding my IP, tries to work but still not 100%, I wonder if its to do which which ISP we have, lost with this one.

.

:lmao: it's probably not a word we use all that much but I don't think we say the G either!

I'll be hiding away in April if anyone tries to record me :lmao:

I've just logged into the Disney web page, and I dont have the "My Disney Experience" bit anywhere to be found :confused3 Not sure if I'm going to a wrong page or something?

We say crackinnnng the final g sounds like a hard g the emphasis is on the n and if its a broard scouse accent the ck would be cckk like the stereotypical 'chicken' people say. Also if its a broard scouser they wouldnt say the g at all it would be crackin.
Hope this helps I also did English at Uni but had help as half of my family are Yorkshire so I used that to compare! X

I e-mailed Disney UK direct as I was getting annoyed that I couldn't access and manage my booking even though I have a Disney booking reference doesn't work on the UK site only US.

Here was their response:
"Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney Travel Co. UK.

Please accept our apologies for the inconveniences with our website. It is presently going through major upgrades and it is not always acting favorably. It may become acceptable sometime before you get here, but since you need to book dining a lot sooner, may I offer up our toll free number from the UK? It is 0800 169 0730 and if you press option 3 you will be connected with one of our Disney Experts who will be able to help you with your dining.

The other option is to book without your dining being associated to your reservation. The only ones that would cause concern would be the dining that requires advance payment. You would definitely need to call us directly for those."

I think its only the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall that I would need to call and reserve against our booking as I don't want to pay extra to make a reservation when its free to guests who are booked into one of their hotels.

You only need a CC hold on that one and that's the case for everyone. Only ones which would be any different would be those requiring full payment such as CRT & the dinner shows.

Made the first of my ADRs for summer today linked my booking no problem however we have booked through Disney UK and our ref is 3 letter 6 numbers.

I didn't click on this thread the other day thinking it was the same old question. Until I nearly swore at my laptop tonight in frustration.

However, I also have google chrome and if you go onto the spanish website, it gives you a translate option. I selected that, picked my dates and when I said 'continue' it took me to the US site :rotfl:

They changed the site, can get on USA version again for now. Link at bottom of page to click on:

:lmao: You know, in this day and age I find it mind blowing that a massive organization like Disney has consistently been unable to maintain a functional website. Even when it is not undergoing changes and updates, there's always something not working  It's not like we live in a world short of competent IT folk. I just don't understand it :confused3

Disney announced they were making changes to their DVC web site over the first two months of 2013 and by and large the changes so far all looks okay. With a lot of changes across their sites, hopefully their web pages will turn out to be an even better experience and without any major disruptions or glitches!
