Day 3- Four Parks, 2 Hotels and one crazy pin quest.
We started off our day at Epcot. We got to the park at about 8:40 and again found an entrance that had no one standing at it. We were the first ones in the park. It was a glorious 5 seconds before the chaos started - the sprint to Soarin. I was excited to ride this and knew that we needed to ride and get fast passes for later. This is pure insanity at Epcot. Everyone gets all anxious waiting at the ropes. The CMs just make it worse because they tell everyone how important it is to get to Soarin. We were off at 9:00 to the Land. I couldnt walk that fast because of the ankle injury a few days earlier. We kept up with the pack but at our own pace. I knew if we slowed down or stopped we would be trambled. We got to Soarin and went to grab fast passes before riding it. This crazy man decided that he wanted to literally shove me out of the way to get to the box first. Are you kidding? You are a grown man. What in the world are you doing shoving me? I was furious. I cant believe how rude people get. We will all get our turn so just chill. He got what was coming for him when he turned around shouting explicitives of Where is my family? I will let you fill in the blanks on that one. He was still waiting when we got out. We rode Soarin and I have to admit it is my favorite ride ever. I loved the feeling of it and the scents were amazing. We got the second row and the feet were a little distracting so we vowed to ask for the front row the next time. I was worried about Soarin making me sick because I am prone to motion sickness. I never even noticed it. I just thought it was an amazing experience. Definitely one you should check out!!
After we left the crazy world of Soarin we rode Living with the Land. I like this ride. I know it is cheezy but I think it shows a different side of Disney and now it provides a nice break from the chaos of Soarin.
After leaving the Land we headed over to the Living Seas. I was really disappointed. I know they are working on things but it seemed to be missing a lot. We decided not to do Turtle Talk as the line was enormous even before 10:00. We took the obligatory shark picture and left.
It was time to get another fast pass so we headed for Test Track. Now while at Test Track I witnessed a lot of people that didnt know how to use the fast pass. I witnessed one woman insert her card in 30 times trying to get a fast pass. She already had another one for Mission: Space so it told her not a valid fast pass. She told everyone standing there that the machines were broken. No honey I think you might be though. Everyone scattered like the wind except for me and Brian. I had pretty much figured out she was doing something wrong and decided to try anyway. This woman really took offense to the fact I didnt believe her. Our fast passes popped out and she stood there for a few minutes looking at us. Then she started yelling for someone to help her. Crazy people- they come out because they know I am coming. We rode Test Track and liked it. I thought it was a really fun ride.
Oh I almost forgot, not only did we get our fast passes for Test Track but we also got bonus ones at the same time for Mission: Space.
I wasnt riding Mission: Space because I didnt want to feel awful the rest of the day. Brian was more excited than a kid in a candy store. He wanted to be an astronaut as a kid and loves space, astronomy and anything science in nature. We went right over and rode Mission: Space. I waited by the flower beds right outside. I knew he had a fast pass so I didnt think it would be too long. I waited and I waited. I called my mom, my dad, my grandmother and the woman watching our cats. I took some pictures of the flowers.
I watched all the people walking by. I watched people go in, ride and come out. I took some pictures of Spaceship Earth through the trees.
I cleaned out my bag. I took some pictures of Mission: Space.
It had been close to an hour at this point. I was getting restless and getting worried. I didnt want to leave because I thought he would show up as soon as I did. Five minutes later he walks out with a huge grin on his face. He was messing around with the computers after you get off the ride and didnt realize how long it had been. I decided for the sake of future trips I would forgive him and we would move on. I knew we had to leave Epcot if we wanted to finish our pin quest so we decided to ride Spaceship Earth and head out on the monorail to the Grand Floridian.
We stopped twice on the ride. Luckily we didnt stop anywhere obnoxious or for too long. It is a good classic ride. It needs a lot of work though. I hope they rehab it soon. We were off on the Pin Quest.
