DW and I were 42. Our son was 2.5 when we bought into DVC. Up until then we were doing adult trips to wine country, the Caribbean, etc. we have thoroughly enjoyed our 6.5 years of membership!

28 and pretty happy with the timing of it, wouldn't have minded a little sooner but accounting for savings going elsewhere and things it felt like good timing.

32 for me DW is 24. Excited for another contract in a few years. Oh...DD was 17 months.

41 for us-our son was 14. Now we are taking nieces and nephews. Our regret is also not buying earlier, but paying cash is better than financing every time.

In 2013, when I was 38 and our twins were just turning 1. I wish I had bought in my early 30s when I was still single! Luckily, I was able to still snag a BCV resale that was only a couple dollars more than what they were selling for back then. I'm amazed at how much they've gone up in the last two years!

36 for me. did not really know anything about dvc before that or would have bought sooner

I was 30. We had a 1 yr old at the time. Now we have 2 kids (6 yr old and 3 yr old)

43.....and Yes wish we did it sooner. Our kids are now 20 and 16 and we just got back from a week at VWL. My fear is our next trip down will be without them. :(
We were in our late 40's (would have joined sooner but waited for BLT). Not to worry - ours are 24 and 26 (older one is married), and they come with us at least every other year (don't underestimate the lure of a free vacation in Florida, even if they have to put up with the parents). We'll be at VWL in October.

DH and I bought in when we were 25. Glad we did before all of the other adult responsibilities kicked in! We could never afford it today and it guarantees a great family vaca at least every other year :thumbsup2

We purchased our first DVC contract when I was 25 when we found out we were having our first child. It was a resale contract of 50 points at Wilderness lodge. At the time it was enough for us to get 4 nights in a studio each year. A few years later before we had our 2nd child and our incomes had increased we purchased another resale contract...160 points at BLT

We bought it as my 50th birthday present. I wish they'd even had it when our kids were little. And then, the first few DVC years, we were just too afraid to take the leap. Why didn't we listen to Nike-"Just do it!"

First contact 47 year old ( AKL ) second contract ( VGF) 52
I have ine regret we should have buy sooner
As I did 20 wdw trips out of own picket before joigning in
I just love my dvc

DH was 60 and I was 55.......the 5 grandkids have been raised in the World....Oldest grandson( child )and wife will be honeymooning in the World this fall....the hubby and I spend many days in Disney in the winter months....

27 here. I remember when I very young, my parents talking to another family at the Disney Institute pool about how they were DVC owners and loved it etc. My parents were interested but nothing came of it. As I got older and we kept going to Disney and more often and I always wondered what it would have been like if we would have bought back then. Then I came of age and means and I jumped on it! My husband and I have loved it for the past 3 years and my parents and sister come on about half of our trips. One of my favorite things about DVC is being able to share Disney with others. And we will for a long time!

2009, I was 40 and DH was 45. Our first visit was for my 41st birthday later that year. We stayed on the Savanna close to the lobby at Kidani and it was magical. I remember DH making me close my eyes while he opened the door and lead me in. With eyes opened, I was telling him it is just like on the internet with the bellman smiling in the doorway. DH was smiling too and we both knew it was a fantastic decision.
