How old were you when you first became a DVC member?

I was 40 and wish I bought sooner, I love it I have spent long weekends at WDW without going to the parks. The resorts are great and I love it using points I have taken my sister and her 2 kids on 3 cruises (I know most people think it isn't a great use of points but I think that however I want to use my points is a great use of points) I was recently on the member cruise with several family members, as far as I am concerned a great use of points!!!1

I chose 26 - 35 as that is when we purchased our own membership (in 2000), but I became an associate on my parents' membership in the fall of 1993 when they bought in to the "Disney Vacation Club" resort before it was re-christened Old Key West.

I had just gotten engaged any my wife and I honeymooned at WDW with the first stay on that membership in July of 1994.

We still have that original membership (since gifted by my parents to my brother and me) and also our Hilton Head points that we purchased ourselves in 2000. I can't count the number of fun trips we have had - and are currently looking forward to a Christmas-week stay at OKW this year.
