I am in the process of helping my dad buy Beach Club Villa points - we have an offer accepted on a 200 point contract with a June use year, but we are looking for a second contract with the same use year in the 50-100 point range. How often should I be checking resale websites? I have been trying to check twice a day, but I am worried this might not be often enough given that we are looking for a very specific contract.

How often do you check resale websites when you are on the hunt to buy?

Ask to be put on the different resale site distribution lists. A lot of times brokers will send emails to subscribers before they even post to the website, so you are probably missing out regardless how many times you check. I bought at least one of my contracts this way.

A couple resale sites have apps that allow alerts to new listings. Very very handy.

Agree to be sure you sign up for listing emails from the sites you are stalking looking. Some sites have an app or the ability to get texts for new listing alerts and some will allow you to create alerts for specific resorts/use years. And as another already said, sometimes those emails/alerts are sent to subscribers before posting to the websites, so it will help you get a bit of a lead on that perfect contract. Good luck!

I checked every free moment I get.. like waiting in line at the grocery store, etc. Some contracts move super fast so twice a day you might not even see if you have a popular uy. I agree with a lot of the posters though.. my last contract I was notified of it via text message and so was able to jump right on it.

Anything less than 100 points at Beach Club is a very rare find. You may need to consider buying direct if you want a 50 point add on.

Best of luck! :)
