How much would you pay for extra FP+s or even unlimited?

$0

I have a hard time wrapping my mind around this concept or rumor that seems to continue?

They are only so many spots on the rides they can not magically make more no matter how much money they want to make. The math has been done before there are so many spots per hour vs so many visitors, with so many fastpasses being handed out (3per visisitor) coupled with those who are using DAC (no doubt to fluctuate) how would they sell extra fast passes? ON top of that if they were to charge for extra fast passes I would think DAC abuse would put GAC abuse to shame. People would be coming up with all kinds of stuff and finding ways like no other to "beat" the system. Especially one that used to give them something for free that they are now charging for!? May not like it or agree with it but that just seems to be the way people work.

Besides wouldn't they first want to make it more attractive for onsite visitors by giving them more before trying to sell them to everyone?

If Disney offered something like what you get at Universal for staying onsite, I'd easily pay a few hundred bucks for it. It would be totally worth the money to me because it's the most relaxing way to tour. Besides Potter, which the #1 reason I no longer stay at Disney, it's the main reason I'd rather spend my time at Universal, despite still loving the magic of WDW. No stress, no planning, no schedule. If I could get this at Disney, at least at the MK, then yep I'd pay for it to an extent.

I would not buy individual FP, unless they were very low priced. And they won't be because they need them to be out of reach for a good chunk of people. And no way am I paying anything for current tier 2 FP. Just no.

I would consider buying an add on that provided X number of extra FP a day (3 like the first set), but only if they acted just like the first set and allowed you to book another tier 1, and also if you could book all 6 in one park OR do 3 and 3 in two. I would assume this would be priced fairly high, maybe $200 a ticket.

I would also consider bumping up our resort stay to increase FP numbers, as that provides more than just the FP. For example, I would seriously consider club level if they provided a decent FP incentive to do so.

Simple....the poor souls who didn't cough up the extra dough don't get to ride as much as those that did. Think of it as a GAC that you pay for.

$100 per day, $200 per day, $15 per FP+? Are you guys crazy? For a family of four, with just five days, at $100, that's an EXTRA $2000 over what I've already paid for rooms and tickets!! And even though it is unlimited, what if all FP+ for the headliners are already taken? There would be no way to ensure you could get what you wanted or what would work on any given day.

I completely agree. I would rather miss another ride on a mountain than pay an extra $2000 for the chance to ride the same rides over and over again.

And the poor souls who can't afford a ticket at all don't get to ride anything. I don't see any snark towards people who are buying tickets to WDW, so why towards people who are willing to spend even more to get more? There's always going to be people shut out because of finances, but that doesn't stop people from going to WDW multiple times.

I am not convinced Disney is ever going to charge for FP+, but I do think it will continue to be an effective tool in their arsenal to get people to choose to stay onsite. I just don't see Disney ever offering advance FP+ booking to offsite guests. It is possible they might offer more to Moderates and Deluxes, and the most for Club Level, but I am not even sure they will do that. I don't know how many people would make the [in my opinion] large jump from a Moderate to a Deluxe for one or two extra FPs per day. I'd sooner add one night at a Mod than upgrade my whole trip to Deluxe.

My family would consider it, but that's because we stay at both deluxe and moderate now. The only way I see something like this causing a family to upgrade is if they were already seriously considering it and the extra FP was the last push they needed.

I don't think FP is enough of an incentive alone to make what I agree is a huge jump.

i would pay maybe $100 per person for unlimited FP for our ENTIRE stay, but definitely not per DAY....that's outrageous (and i'm sure many people think paying any extra is outrageous)!

I am so pleased to see that the majority of people would not be willing to pay more. I'm sure a few would do it. But most would not. ::yes:: I don't want to give Disney any ideas... :rotfl2:

The majority of DISers on this thread not willing to pay for a service that doesn't even exist yet doesn't really tell us anything. We as a group know how to tour much more efficiently than the general population. I bet you would get much different responses if you asked some fairly unresearched first timers if they would pay to skip more lines.

$0.00 - Tickets are already $100 a day per person. :furious:

Mostly I've stayed out of the FP discussions, but this is irresistible.

I can't see paying more for more FPs. We did USIOA a couple years ago when HP was pretty new. We enjoyed all the attractions that we wanted to ride and didn't pay for their version of FP. Our finances are already stretched thin, can't see how we could possible budget in more just to be able to skip most (because after all, FP isn't really an opportunity to skip the whole line) of the line. I just don't see the return on investment value of paying for those types of things, at least not now.

I've been known to buy either VIP tickets or a throwaway room at Universal to get unlimited express for my family, depending on how many people on the trip. I expect a comparable Disney offering would be (much) more expensive, and I'm not sure how much farther I'd go.

We've done this too.
I would pay what Disney asked for unlimited Fast Passes or for an extra 10 if I could use them where and when I wanted as long as it did not exceed the cost of a VIP tour.

Meaning you go to the fast pass line rather than waiting in stand by or being limited to 3 fastpass rides.

Like the express pass plus that universal offers only with a deluxe room stay?

Even universal has exclusions right? Harry Potter rides?

Disney already watered down the FP+ too much to have the equivalent of Universal's plan. I think a lot more people would be willing to pay if the lines weren't being inflated by people using the free ones. That's where universal is different. You have to pay for it but those lines are short and only used by people who everyone knows are also paying. Petty people don't have to stand in a line next to someone that they believe is feeling too entitled.
