...all this talk of how often you call your mother. How many of us must call long distance? What is your average monthly $ ?? just the long distance part.

Ours is averaging about $70, but going down since I got the cell phone with free weekends! :)

They just changed our plan.....local tolls for me are now unlimited and free!!....I think it is like a 50-75 mile radius that is my local toll call area??

I very rarely call out of state....

Our phone bills run around $70 a month for local and long distance combined.

Wow Lisa, I wish our local tolls were free! My family is all about 60 miles away! That would solve a lot of my phone bill problems!

Mines about $30 a month. I have very few long distances calls, and when I do, I use my cell phone.

I only call from my cell and I have a plan that includes no extra charge for long distance. I do call from home once in a while but don't pay for that either since I get 50 free minutes a month there from my cell phone provider. Otherwise I think I'd be paying about $50/month with a $.03 calling card

Mine from last month was $6...but one of my roommate's was over $80.

I believe the plan is 49.00/month...but it is great for me....part of the bill tells you how much you saved by being on the plan...and it ranges from 160.00 to 200.00 a month!! MIL and my sister live about 40 miles away and I am constantly on the phone with them.

It used to only be so many hours a month free....and I guess with all the competition now...they changed it to unlimited......it's so great to see all my calls and they say "no charge":D

Cell phone here too. We use it for all of our long distance calls. Since we have a cable modem we have considered doing away with our dial up service (Southwestern Bell) and just using our cell phone. Just haven't done that yet.

I guess I could say $0 as well. We use our cell and pre-paid calling cards to make our long distance calls. They are primarily to my parents and DD who is at school. We don't have free long distance on our cell plan - but they are in our area.

But I really only put about $15 a month on the calling card if that. And a lot of those minutes are used for Local Long Distance. I do use my cell phone mostly.

0. 150 minutes of long distance per month included on the cell phones, of which we have 2.

We get 180 minutes for about 10.95 a month from AT &T. My folks are also long distance, as is just about every one else in our lives.

I use pre-paid phone cards from Sam's Club(AT&T). The cost is 3.47 cents per minute, to anyplace in the USA. They charge 9 extra minutes for a pay phone, but other than that no extra charges.

Our long distance ranges from $10-$15 a month. Most of those calls are to my brother (my mom is a local call, and my best friend is a local call-if not, I'd hate to see my bill:eek: ).

O, have the cell phone with the unlimited night and weekends nations wide. It's also my only phone. My roomate and I got rid of the expense of having a phone bill and we just use our cell phones. Since I have cable modem, just no need for a regular phone line, besides everyone calls my cell.

$0 - long distance
at & t wireless cell phone carrier we are in PA & my parents live in VA on NC border & this is in our area (that's why we switched to this plan)
I call my mom 1-3 times a week for usually around 90 minutes a week for free well not really for free. I pay $29.99 month I think.
