How much is your 2012 Disney Vacation costing this year?

7 nights at BWI (with a probable discount)
Fuel, Food, extras and 6-day PH

$2600
(my half...going with sister...total for two of us, about $5200).

But I know I'll spend more.:rotfl:

24 days and nights at WDW this october, a split stay between a studio at BWV and SSR. Add into the equation a business class intercontinental flight and you get a total that is painfully high. Around €4100,- Already bought an annual pass on my december 2011 trip, so no costs there. Next add on €200,- for specialised travel insurance for medical equipment with a total value of €30.000,- , some $$$$ for a great gift for parents (budget sponsors, transfers to/from airport and great people) and some money for shopping and food.

Luckily I was able to score a very competative price on both ticket and stay, but still very expensive. Trying not to think about it too much anymore since budget was taken care off and just focus on it being the last trip. Oh and let's not forget the one time increase of coverage on part of my continues travel insurance to cover the higher than usual budget of about €25,-. Hopefully not needed but with a serious risk of my health agenda demanding rescheduling a much welcome costincrease.

I'm jealous at the inexpensive airfare some of you have gottten! We are in ND and it costs a small fortune ($475 + bag fees) for each of the six of us to fly down.

I just realized through this thread that since my first trip in 2008 when I was bitten by the WDW love bug, I have spent about $33,000 on feeding my LOVE for Disney!!! :scared1:
2008, Trip 1) sharing hubby's leave from Afghanistan in the World was $9,000,
Trip #2) 2009 12 days with our friends about $10,000,
Trip #3) Mom and Son Only Trip $5,000 and finally, this
trip #4) Me, My 2 boys (16/19) and my BFF.....approx $9,000
it looks scary on paper.....but memories have brought immesurable joy! :lovestruc

I am extremely thankful for my PT job allows me to work for the funds to pay for these trips! A large part of our expense is crazy airfare costs from Edmonton, Alberta Canada....which sucks about $600-$700 PP out of our pockets for airfare! Wish we had access to the amazing flight deals from US airports....due to the expense of the trips, it will probably be at least 2 yrs before I get back again :( I will miss my favourite happy place in the meantime!!!

Not scary at all to me.:lmao: I have you so beat in the spending department. I am fortunate to have a job where I can earn extra income, but I hate working.:headache: I do love vacations so I suck it up and work. Don't feel bad I am sure there are others on here like us. I agree the memories are worth it.:goodvibes

*2 Adults and 1 Child*
-8 nights at Pop Century with free quick service dining upgraded to the regular dining plan with 8 day base tickets-$2033.45, going to add a day onto our tickets though since we were originally not planning on going to a park on our arival day, but since our flight lands in Orlando at 10am, we decided to go ahead and make it a park day
-Flights from Indianapolis-$937.20 (could have gotten them cheaper, but paid more for non-stop and early arrival flight and late departure flight)

We have a few out of pocket meals planned. Sci-Fi, San Angel Inn, and Boma breakfast. That's about all the money we will spend, aside from tips of course. Oh yeah, and the pirate's league is scheduled.

I'm guessing we will end up around $3600 total.

Our kids (4-year-old twins) have been overheard explaining to friends: 'Mommy & Daddy have to work in the store... so we can get money to go to Disney!'

Cheers,

We're seriously thinking about going back next year. It'll cost over $6,000 just to get there though:rolleyes2:rolleyes2:rolleyes2

My DW and I were planning on going in August, but our trip is now in jeopardy because we may have to buy a car instead :( I hate to be too down about it, because my wife and I have went the last few years. BUT, it still stinks if we can't go. We both get so excited to go, like each trip is our first.

Anyways, we booked in April. Here's the deets of our potential trip:
2 adults
8/24 to 8/31
8 Days at POP Century Standard room
6 Day MYW with PH
Travel insurance 139.90
First night room only 84.26
Free QSDP for rest of trip 1311.84

Airfare from Grand Rapids, Mich. with one layover: 530.40
Total 2066.40

If we do have to cancel, luckily we purchased travel insurance from WDWTC. We originally got it in case a hurricane was going to impact our late August trip (usually we go in July)

-----------------
DEC 2009 POP CENTURY | JULY 2010 POP CENTURY (DISNEY HONEYMOON) | JULY 2011 POP CENTURY

Airfare from Grand Rapids, Mich. with one layover: 530.40
Total 2066.40

If you don't mind me asking, how did you get such cheap airfare? I guess ours is only $100 more a piece and is out of AZO instead of GRR but $530 round trip is pretty decent IMO.

10 days vill direct house $2700
10 day Park hopper passes for 4 $1400
2 days hotel orlando $350
2 days Universal Studio's for 4 $500

Gas for the Drive up and back $350

Plus meals $1500

total $6,800 without buying anything yet.

Thanks to this thread, I nearly chocked when I posted how much our trip was going to cost. For a variety of reasons, we decided to scale back a bit.

So, now our vacation is going to cost approximately $9000.00. We are booking most of it with travel reward points though... but I am trying to avoid taking any OOP.
