How much is your 2012 Disney Vacation costing this year?

We are doing a 16 night trip. Our first. We own Worldmark, so have been planning for this trip for a long time using our saved up worlmark credits to trade into DVC. Each trade ends up costing about $1000 for the week when all fees are accounted for. And then we are sharing the costs of accomodations with two other families, so that brought our costs down. And then because we have 2 units part of the trip we are doing partial purchased dining plan. But this is what I ended up with:
BayLake Towers 1 week, Saratoga Springs Resort 1 week, Carribean Beach Resort 2 nights. $1600.

Yes Tickets (8 days premium) $880
Dining plan $900
Flights: about $50 in fees
Other food and tips: $500
Experiences and souvies: $400
Photopass and photo shoot: $170

Total: $4500 for 16 days. I think that is amazing myself. And...about $700 of that is from disney visa rewards and viggle gift cards.

Our airfare alone pretty much hogged costs...

Our total trip runs approx $3500. 2 kids, 2 adults. Port Orleans Riverside (new rooms). 7 nights/8 days. Base tickets, Regular dining included. Flights. Tickets to MNSSHP. We'll of course pay more for IFFW food, trinkets, pins, and baggage.

I can remember when we went to Disney on $2400.00!! :cloud9:

I'm sure we'll have a good time. I just can't get over how much flights are today

5 people staying for 4 nights (checkin 7/12 - checkout 7/16) at OKW on points.

Price per person:
Park Tickets: 3-day (+ 1 day free) NON-park-hoppers :sad2: from Undercover Tourist (including $5 shipping): $257
Flights: $245 round trip from JFK to MCO.
DDP: $206
Taxis to and from airport: $40 (pp, RT)
____
$748 per person, $3740 for the group

We have $400 worth of Disney gift cards & Visa Rewards points to spend on tips/drinks/etc, too.

Not too shabby!

Aug 18-28
11 days/10 nights at WL standard view
free dining plan (from a bounceback offer from last year)
8 days MYW
just under $4000.00

plus airfare: $1200.00

Our next "big" trip will be a month long stay...We're doing a split stay between the King Kamehameha suite at the Poly and Admiral Suite at the YC. We're doing 15 nights at each. The Poly stay will total $37,350 ($2490 per night). The YC stay will be $26,850 ($1790 per night).

We fly privately and that cost is $2000/hour, so roughly $12,000 for the total flight.

As for food, we have a "big" meal planned every other day. We are a family of 6. I'm thinking a rough estimate for food, maybe $350 per day to average out when we eat at character meals and when we don't....So, food costs is $10,500.

Our annual tickets are already purchased.

We also rent a vehicle, which will cost us about $4000 for the month.

So, total is about $100,000 on this trip once you add in souvenirs and other surprise costs. This is the first time we have EVER stayed this long and it will probably be the last time for a little while. I'm afraid my family will get bored being there so long, but it's something my husband and I have always wanted to do!!

I realize this is certainly not the "average" of what people spend at Disney on their vacations.

Geez! As a Registered Nurse, I joke sometimes that Im in the wrong profession.... Money wise of course! Lol

Have a GREAT trip!! Can't wait to read a report on it!!

I'm not traveling til June of 2013, but I just have to say I'm VERY glad to be a FL resident.

AKL standard room: $1060 4 days and 3 nights
3 Day Magic Your Way Hoppers: $580 2 adults and 1 child

Those are the only numbers I have right now. Our trip in 2011 was only about $1000 and that was resort, tickets, AND spending money! But we stayed in All-Star Sport Resort and just did MYW tickets, no hopper. THIS trip in 2013 is a graduation gift for my WHOLE family! :woohoo: I'm graduating, but my DH and DS have had to tolerate me these last few years! :lmao:

Son will be 5 when we go and I think he'll be up to some park hopping. Being as we're only doing 3 days in the parks and one in Downtown Disney, I want to take advantage of the park hopping this time! Still not really sure about Disney Studios though...it's lost its magic for me. :( :rolleyes1

We're taking my wife's parents with us so we had to get really creative on how we would make the trip work!

7 Nights 1 bdr at Kidani Village: DVC points, so no extra cost
6 day park hoppers bought before price increase on Undercover Tourist: $306/ea for a total of $1224
Signed up for Southwest Visa and used free 50,000 points to buy 3 rd trip tix from Omaha to Orlando. 1 Rd trip airfare paid in cash: $280
Food- not doing dining plan. We made our ADRs, looked at probable CS meals and found we'd be saving some serious cash. We're planning on around $1000 for all four adults.
Souvenirs- we have a $300 Disney gift card, which is likely to be spent mostly on my DD!

So about $2500- not too shabby!

Just finished booking ours. Renting points for the first time.

April 15-23rd 2013

Beach Club Deluxe Studio 8 nights $1824

Flights $1137 for the 4 of us

6 day hopper passes $1100

Have yet to decide if we are doing dining yet QS is $750 Regular is $1100

I'm sorry, what's a YES park ticket? I notice some are even cheaper than FL ressie. Could be because I have the hopper option on ours.

YES is Youth Education Series. Disney has classes that kids can enroll in (Science, animation, animal wildlife, etc) and the tickets you may purchase through them are at a significant discount. The cons seem to be: they must be paid in full when registering for class, they are non-refundable or upgradeable or changeable. Also, the classes are only offered certain months of the year. There's a thread on the Dis Budget Board about this program if you're interested.

We are trying this Point rental thing for the first time like many others it seams this year!! Also skipping dining plan because we anticipate taking advantage of Food and Wine grazing and special events. Depending on what I can reserve food budget could need to increase rapidly :)

2 Adults Nov 4th through the 9th (5 nights 6 days)

BLT Lake View $1105
Round trip Airfare from Boston $620
6 Day Park Hopper $696
Food $550
---------------
$2971 + misc $500

Im guestimating a $3500 trip this time, but worth every penny to be transported into Disney Bliss for a few days!! We are also not trying to go budget this time, but I bet our next trip (JanFeb 2013) will be on the cheap!

We are going Dec 4-10.
It will be DH, me and our son will be 9 months old.

We haven't figured out dining yet. It will be either DDP+TiW or just TiW. You can't use the TiW discount on QS or the Candlelight Processional package so I have to add it all up and see if it's worth it to add the DDP.

Airfare: $588-$101 in SW credits= $487. We usually fly Southwest, but they didn't have any direct flights coming back to PHL on 12/10 late in the day. So we are flying down on SW and taking Airtran home. The cost for airfare is more than I wanted because we had to pay for picking seats, insurance and will have to pay for checking luggage :( All of this is included in the airfare cost above.

Tickets: $368. Annual Passes We will be going to WDW three times: December, August and November. We purchased an AP right before tickets went up and so I divided the cost of AP by 3.

Resort: $1,415 6 nights Bay Lake Tower Lake View- renting points and $75 for trash/towel service. This is $1,821 less than booking through Disney. It is quite the savings!

Photopass plus pre-purchase $170 (this was an impulse buy, but I'm excited b/c we plan on taking DS to lots of character meals.)

Total before dining $2440

A couple things we do to save $:
1. Renting points- it seems to be more than a 50% savings on the hotel.
2. Annual pass- we buy an AP every other year and get at least two vacations out of it. For example. We will go in Dec 2012, Aug 2013 and Nov 2013. Then we won't go back until Dec 2014. When a 7-day PH costs $330 it really saves us some $$$.

At this point, I have no idea, we have already been twice and will be going again at the end of August. By the time it's all said and done, probably close to $8000 for the 3 trips. We really splurged on our January trip. We are lucky enough to be able to get a military discount and use the discounted military tickets.

Ugh...I'll do this for you, but I'd rather be in denial.

One room BC St View for 10 nights with 10D PH and regular dining plan - 2 adults $4537.56 This is with a 35% pin code that was emailed to me.

One room BC St View for 5 nights with 5D PH and no dining plan - 4 adults $2808.88. This is also with the 35% pin code and the extra adult charge (one of the adults is 17, so he didn't count yet!)

Two rooms four nights at Portofino Bay with AP discount Club Level $3200

4D 2 park tickets for 5 adults and 1 AP $1000 (might be more, I may do more AP's)

Airfare from Westchester County for six people $2100

Above doesn't include spending money, extra food for US and non dining plan room, travel back and forth to Disney, Airports, etc. Tipping, water tubing, parasailing, etc and so on.

Usually, we do moderate or stay at the Dolphin on the gov't rate, But I'm splurging. I'm going to be 50 and I lost alot of weight, so I deserve this!

And, I saved every turn I could. Got the pin code from Disney, Did the AP rate at US, used grocery points towards Disney gift cards, did any survey you could think of on MYPOINTS and got $275 worth of Landry gift cards for TREX and Bubba Gump. Used Quickrewards and got a few disney gift cards. I'd say with all of this, I got about $1000 worth of gift cards to use for this trip. I had fun doing it and I had a great time planning this trip. Only 17 days to go!!!!!!!!:cool1:

Have a GREAT trip!! Can't wait to read a report on it!!
