Wow, I wish I was here for this thread instead of being at the fort!

NOT!!!

You know, when I was a "kid" I was a bouncer at a huge club in ga, we had 1000+ people a night. That was enough to cure me of my drinking, I drank like a fish while I was working, we had a working bar in our house, with beer lights, mirrors etc. Every night, the DJ, bartenders, bouncers and who ever else wanted would come to our house and party until the next day. We even had an old pepsi machine in there that vended out 6 types of beer.

Now, I have a beer with a good steak at outback, or once in a while at home. But I haven't been drunk in years! I know that people have opinions both ways, but I would never try cram my views down anyones throat.

We brought a six pack with us, and 2 bottles of spiced rum, and 2 bottles of brandy, you know, kungaloosh fixins. There were 5 of us last night, and between us, we made about 3 pitchers, noone was even buzzed, but it was GREAT, to just hang out at the fort, drink some kungaloosh and catch up with some old friends and relatives.

We weren't loud, we weren't obnoxious and we didn't bother anyone. So if we want to, I think we have the right. JMHO

Looking over the shopping list from Spring Break 2007:

3 cases beer (mixed from Bud Light to Tucher Dunkles Hefe Weissen)
3 bottle Bloody Mary mix
1 bottle vodka
1 bottle bourbon- Evan Williams mmmm.....
2 bottles champagne

This was enough for my family and DSis' family......ok.....mainly us guys......;) for the entire week.

The gals prefer to get their drinks from Disney......I think it's the umbrellas in the drinks.......

It sure looks like a lot, but I have to admit, I do not recall being ever more than slightly buzzed during the entire week......must be the fresh air.....

RvUSA ,,actually you are here for this thread even if you are at the Fort . We all wish we could be at the Fort enjoying this thread with you !!:goofy: :goofy:

Only if its Coors Light (If I am feeling cheap Keystone Light)

Big Al (ntsammy)...I can send you the full size, perfect for photoshopping a bullseye onto!!!

Thanks for the offer Rog, but I already have one printed up! :thumbsup2

:lmao:

One thing I never do though is drink and shoot. messes up my aim too much. HOWEVER, we were at a winery on Seneca Lake once (one of the Finger Lakes) that was on a hill overlooking the lake and there were a bunch of people wine tasting and shooting skeet. Good combination -- alcohol and shot guns. Those poor dam skeet didn't have a chance. Almost as bad as shooting drunk otters in a barrel.

What a waste of skeet and shells!!! Shotguns and alcohol have been a SOUTHERN tradition since the civil war......which would explain why we lost....and still have not risen again!!!

I will drink it if its given to me but its not my flavor. As far as my name it just refers to that I am from Texas the Lone Star state.

Always heard the south would rise again. But nothing has ever happen. Now I know why. Thanks ROG:thumbsup2

I've never tried this rumple-stuff. Should I go to the liquor store?

You should try it in a frozen chocolate shot glass. We found a bar in NY back in the early 90's that sold shots of rumpleminz in frozen chocolate shot glasses. You had to quickly do the shot (or the glass would melt) then eat the glass. They were really tasty, like candy :rotfl: My DH found out that if you do 20 of them you will get violently ill and will never crave rumpleminz again :lmao:

We rarely drink, but will occasionally have a mixed drink while camping. It is a social thing. Neither of us have been more than slightly buzzed since our children were born. We believe in teaching them responsibility and that means that an adult can have an occassional drink. Does the fact that I bartend at a restaurant on occasion change anything? Of course not, I don't drink while working or even after work...it's a job.

So enlighten me...what is kungaloosh? Sounds intriguing
