How Many Times Did I Meet Pluto This Trip? A Dec Solo TR - New TR Link 11/30!

When I rode Dumbo at night this past trip I couldn't help but take tons of pics. It's too pretty not to!

I gotta get on the People Mover at night! Great pics.

Selfie stick?!?! What the heck is that?!?!
I am looking into a go pro... we shall see... Great pictures! I can go on and on about how to's... I won't here!!!!

Was the cupcake yummy?!? I really have the Disney blues right now!!!

I loved your Haunted Mansion pics--I always have the best intentions of getting ride pictures but they never turn out the way I think they will. Yours are pretty spooky! :thumbsup2

It's so nice you were able to just pop onto rides without much of a wait and decide what to do on the fly. I always plan my WDW trips to death and don't leave enough time for spontaneity! Next time...maybe :bitelip:

Looking forward to Wishes!! :wizard:

I am NOT looking forward to these selfie sticks. I have a feeling I'm going to lose it with some of these people on a future trip.

Who doesn't take a lot of pictures on Dumbo? It's such a gorgeous area.

I have got to remember to stop for one of those cupcake things. Mark is going to love it.

I rarely shoot with my cellphone. I prefer the dSLR but I have seen those selfie sticks. I'd hate to be hit by one of them. Sorry you got hit. :(

Love your pictures on the rides. And that's a great score on Buzz. :thumbsup2

I haven't yet experienced the selfie sticks or go-pro's in force yet, but I'm thinking I'm not going to like it. I'm fed up with tablets and I imagine I'll feel the same about these.

Yeah, they were quite annoying at times on this trip.

I think you made a good choice on the cake cup. I did not like the strawberry at all and I really hope they have the birthday cake when I'm there. I think I'll like that one. Funny though, I thought they were tiny!

Maybe it was because I had just finished dinner that it seemed so big to me. I'm also thinking that if it was the chocolate one, I would have had no problem finishing it. I could eat chocolate all day!

It is pretty photogenic isn't it?

I gotta get on the People Mover at night! Great pics.

You definitely should. It feels like a totally different ride at night. Plus you can actually see a little bit when you go into Space Mountain because your eyes are already adjusted to the dark.

A selfie stick is a long metal pole that you can attach to a cell phone so you can take selfies farther away. Just imagine someone swinging a three foot long metal pole around and you'll get the idea.

Was the cupcake yummy?!? I really have the Disney blues right now!!!

Yes it was. I totally feel your Disney blues!

I loved your Haunted Mansion pics--I always have the best intentions of getting ride pictures but they never turn out the way I think they will. Yours are pretty spooky! :thumbsup2

Yeah, I've never had a lot of luck in there but I keep trying.

It's so nice you were able to just pop onto rides without much of a wait and decide what to do on the fly. I always plan my WDW trips to death and don't leave enough time for spontaneity! Next time...maybe :bitelip:

Well, I usually do have some what of a plan but when I see a ride with no wait, it's hard to resist. My best laid plans usually get changed a bit due to crowds or rain or a dozen other factors. That first night though I wasn't expecting to ride much because of it being a holiday weekend but I was pleasantly surprised.

Looking forward to Wishes!! :wizard:

Coming right up!

I am NOT looking forward to these selfie sticks. I have a feeling I'm going to lose it with some of these people on a future trip.

It was not a pleasant experience this trip with those. Luckily I was mostly able to avoid them.

Who doesn't take a lot of pictures on Dumbo? It's such a gorgeous area.

It really is. Disney did a great job when the moved Dumbo back there.

I have got to remember to stop for one of those cupcake things. Mark is going to love it.

The one I had was very good. I still want to try the chocolate/mocha one someday.

I rarely shoot with my cellphone. I prefer the dSLR but I have seen those selfie sticks. I'd hate to be hit by one of them. Sorry you got hit. :(

I actually didn't get hit but it was close. I was on the constant lookout for them all week so I could avoid them.

Love your pictures on the rides. And that's a great score on Buzz. :thumbsup2

Thanks! I got an even better score later in the week!

When I finished on Buzz Lightyear it was 9:55 pm. I figured I might as well stay for Wishes since there was no way I was making it down Main Street at this point. I also didn’t want to try to find a last minute spot around the Hub so I headed back into Fantasyland to see Wishes from a different angle.

So now I present to you Wishes from New Fantasyland. I took these right across from ETWB. The fireworks are almost on top of you back there. My neck was hurting a bit by the end from looking up. There was a young girl with a really nice camera and she basically laid down on the ground next to me so she could shoot straight up.

Once Wishes finished up I decided one more ride would be better than waiting in line for a bus so I went all the way back to Adventureland and got in line for Pirates. The wait time said 15 minutes which was pretty accurate. I took a grand total of one picture the whole time.

I was dragging at that point and I had 7 more days in front of me so I headed out. It was right around 10:30 when I exited. There was a massive line for All Star Movies but four buses came right in a row and it wasn’t long before I was back in my room. I unpacked a bit and then turned out the lights around midnight.

I traded for these two pins throughout the day.

Up Next: I'm a Georgia Peach!

Ohhhh I LOVE that perspective!!!! Great pictures as usual! I really like it.. Must try it! THANKS!!!

Midnight.. I would be dying!!!

Great firework pictures, Ariana. So despite the sore neck, how was that spot for watching? Was it crowded? I'm always looking for a new spot where you can actually breathe while watching.

I think seeing the fireworks from back there is such a cool perspective, especially over Beast's castle. Love your photos, you got some really great ones!

Waiting in line for a ride is totally better than waiting in line for a bus! Glad the buses came quick.

It's amazing how many people have recently watched Wishes behind the castle. I absolutely loved it back there and will absolutely do that again. Plus, it's kinda neat to see that other castle as the centrepiece. :goodvibes

I'm loving your report! We are planning a Dec '15 trip (is it Dec yet?) and now I want to watch Wishes from NFL. Did you notice what the wait times were like in NFL right after Wishes?

Love stopping by the DIS before getting ready for work and seeing firework pics! :thumbsup2 Nothing better than Wishes!

Is that a hitchhiking ghost pin? Cool!

Yay for Pirates!

It was pretty unique to watch from there. You do miss some of the stuff that goes on with the castle but there was no need to fight crowds.

It did catch up to me a little the next day!

Kathy it wasn't too bad. Crowds were a minimum which was a plus. I had no problem finding a great spot with about a minute to go till the show. I will say it was much louder back there and I found myself spinning on the spot a couple of times to see everything because the fireworks are all around you. It was a nice change although I think I still prefer seeing them from the front with the castle as a centerpiece. You miss all of that when watching in Fantasyland.

I was pretty pleased with some of the photos although I did have some trouble getting the Beast's castle to focus with the fireworks.

Definitely! I was no happy when I saw the line at first, I was thinking at least an hour wait. Thankfully they sent a lot of buses right in a row. They were even loading them two at a time.

I did it mainly because I've read a few TRs lately that talked about it. I'm not sure I would have thought of it otherwise. I don't think I will ever stop wanting to see Wishes from in front of the castle but Fantasyland is a nice spot if I want to watch them more than once a trip.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Unfortunately I was focused on getting out of Fantasyland and over to Adventureland and Pirates and didn't look at wait times. I will say though that in the past, lines have always been a bit shorter during the fireworks.

Love stopping by the DIS before getting ready for work and seeing firework pics! :thumbsup2 Nothing better than Wishes!

I can look at fireworks pictures any time! Glad you enjoyed them.

Is that a hitchhiking ghost pin? Cool!

Yep, I kept an eye out for the other two as the week went on.

Yay for Pirates!

It's definitely one of my favorites!

I headed to Hollywood Studios on Sunday, November 30, 2014. Since I love TSM, I was up early and out the door to the buses by 7:45 am. I caught a bus fairly quickly and it was one of those that had the groups of four seats with two facing backwards. I ended up in one of those sections but was joined by a foreign couple that spoke very little English. Then the seat next to me was filled with a lady from Canada. Her husband stood in the aisle next to her and we struck up a conversation. It was one of those times where you hit it off with someone and become instant “temporary” friends. We talked the whole way to the park and I think it was the first time someone called me a “Georgia Peach”. I got quite the kick out of that.

I parted ways with my new friends once we got off the bus but it was fun talking to them.

It was right around 8:30 when I got in line and the crowds were already thick.

Once again though, I was expecting it since it was still part of the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. I took some pictures to pass the time.

They let us in right at 9 am and I joined the Toy Story Mania Dash (yes that is a real thing, I didn’t just make it up. I’m pretty sure I saw some people stretching to get ready for it). I made it there fairly quickly and walked through the line till we got to Mr. Potato Head. All together I waited about 10 minutes.

Mr. Potato Head appears to be giving me a very rude gesture in this next photo.

I found a Hidden Mickey.

Once I got to the front where you get your 3D glasses, I was put through the little blue gate and got to skip quickly to the front of the line.

Not my best score but I was out of practice since I hadn’t ridden since May.

The wait time was 60 minutes when I got done so I headed back out towards the hat in search of a certain dog. He wasn’t out just then, the CM told me it would be about 20 minutes so I headed back down to guest relations. I was doing the Frozen Dessert Party that night and needed to pick up my credentials. There was a bit of a line at guest services but a CM came out and asked if anyone was there for the Party. I was the only one so he took me inside to a separate area. He checked me in and I got my badge for the party and also a special ticket for the Frozen Sing-a-Long. I picked the 4:55 pm show since I figured that would put me back near the Osborne Lights at the right time to watch them being lit.

I headed back up to the Hat and Pluto was finally out so I got in line. This was a high priority for me because I wanted to make sure and meet him in all four parks. For anyone keeping count, this would be greet #1 for the trip.

He was very happy to see me and immediately tried to steal my bag.

The PP Photographer even took a close up of Pluto holding my bag.

After that wonderful meet, I stopped for some more photos in front of the Hat.

Then it was time to head down Sunset Boulevard for what was technically my second FP+ of the day. My first one was a throwaway for the Muppets from 9 – 10 am. I had a rough time with the tiers at HS this trip because there was just not much in the 2nd tier that I wanted. Other than TOT and Star Tours, everything is shows which I don’t really feel you need a FP for. Since I can’t ride Star Tours without getting sick, TOT is really the only thing I need one for.

The TSMM dash is insane they also have a frozen one at the MK for their meet and greet. I can't wait to hear what you thought about the frozen dessert party I heard mixed reviews on it.

It's always nice having good conversation to pass the time!

LOVE your pics with Pluto!! Looks like awesome interaction.

I spent a lot of time yesterday getting caught up on my subscribed threads but somehow missed out on your's. That's okay though 'cause I'm caught up now. I love how the parks and even some attractions are all done up for the holiday. The Jingle Cruise looks especially cute.

It's too bad that Tony's wasn't all that great. We have stayed away from it because of all the so-so reviews. At least you can now say that you've tried it yourself.

We've seen the fireworks from Fantasyland before and it really does give you a different perspective. Nice firework pictures!

YAY for Canada!! Obviously we make fantastic temporary friends. :thumbsup2

Well done on the TSM dash. And OMG that photo of Mr Potato Head :rotfl2:. Clearly not a morning person.

What a great meet with your main pooch. One down, three to go.
