How Many Points and Avg Price Paid!

Just a little fun here! What was your price paid /pt and how many points do you own?

For ex: $68/pt, $70/pt, $74/pt=$70.16/pt. I tried to do a poll, but I guess "brain fade" set in. If someone wants to do a poll, by all means, but for now:

Avg: $57/pt, $63/pt, and now an add on for: $74/pt=$64.66/pt avg and 380 pts here.

Bought ALL with MB, and we own at HHI and BWV.

With all our different home resorts and MB or BCV initial incentives, we figured an average of $69.00/pt for all our points as a whole.

Average cost is $69.51 or if we are considering all points purchased over the remaining life of the contracts - average cost is $1.76 per point.

If I did my math right, I think we got our 150 at OKW for $49.30/point. We bought at $63/point, got MB for $5 per point, then got CM discount of 15%.

WOW! Never realized what a fantastic deal that was.

Total of 229 points, 196 resale at $64.00 plus $400.00 closing then 29 points at $84.00 gives a total of $69.00 per point, not a bad deal!!!

We bought our first 170 points at $65/point minus $10 MB plus approximately $2/point (for the half year prorated dues). Then we bought 130 points at $67/point minus $10 MB plus approximately $2/point (for the half year prorated dues). Then we bought another 50 points at $72/point without MB. The average per point based on all of that is $59.89/point. I'm just going by memory and wondering if we acutally paid $65/point minus MB for the second 130 points. In that case it would be more like $59.15/point as the average. Given how prices have gone through the roof I'm pretty surprised to remember that we actually purchased the bulk of our points for under $60/point (direct from Disney). I still feel like we are relatively "new" members, but I guess a lot can change in 4 years!

Since our largest contract was purchased resale at $50/pt, even with our 3 add-ons and resale closing costs, our average price per point is

$58.82 for 550 points! WOW! Makes me want to buy more (oops, did I really say that )

I can't remember the going price for points when we purchased our initial 210 at Old Key West in July 1995. Something like $62.75/point? I do know that the 230 point resale that we purchased in 1999 cost us $56/point. The resale had all of the 1999 points intact and we requested that the seller pay all the dues for 1999. With the closing costs, I figure that we paid around $58/point and no dues for the first year. Did I mention that the resale points were also eligible for free passes? Unfortunately we started the resale process late in 1999 so we were not able to take advantage of that fact.

So the average price for our points was $60.26. I sure wish that I could get a few more points at that price.
