Dh is the runner, not me. I'm just kind of waddling my way through this training.
He really started to enjoy running when he was in the police academy. Unfortunately, our schedules don't really allow him to run all that much. We just joined a gym that has child care, so he can go on the treadmill. But he really wishes he could run in the mornings before work. (I'm at work until 8am, then he leaves for work. So he can't run because of our kids.)
When he was in the academy, his whole class ran a 10K. The next year, he wanted to run it again on his own and wanted me to do it with him. Pff, yeah right! Last year I said I'd try, but I failed yet another C25K. So I didn't run that one either. He is so proud of me for sticking to this training for the Princess, so supportive of me doing this on my own and having alone time, and I can't imagine doing this without his love and support. Now that I have the higher mileage under my belt, I promised him that we'll run the 10K together this fall! He's so much faster than me though. I run 15 minute miles while he's around a 10 minute mile.
