How many miles on your car? What make/model?

One of our cars is a 1994 Suburban with 194,000 miles on it. Still works OK but I think this is the year to replace it.

We have: 2003 Pontiac Montana (mini-van)90,000 miles
2002 Pontiac Azteck with 80,000 miles

Does anyone else have these vehicles? How long did they last you? Being that they are both paid off we'd like to keep them as long as possible without putting much money in them. The Azteck is a lemon and we've already put over $1300 in repairs in it....next big one and DH might think of selling it. Montana's been good to us...no repairs yet...just tires and an AC recharge.

'96 Nissan Quest minivan 95,000 (bought as a demo with 4,000 on it)
'06 Pontiac G6 GTP 87,000 (bought used with 83,000)
'07 Mazda CX-9 about to turn 13,000

DH had a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix and was totalled last July, had 81,000...searched for months for another one. Monorailsilver, I wish I had known you were selling a Grand Prix with such low miles! Was it a 2 door? Sunroof? We bought the G6 on Halloween..and as much fu as that car is, we REALLY wanted another Grand Prix.

Mine is a 07 Hyundai Santa Fe with 45,000 miles
DH has a work truck, but he just sold his 08 Mitsubishi Lancer that had 80,000 miles (which is why he got a work truck).

DW - 2009 VW EOS 10,000
Me - 2007 VW Passat Wagon 50,000
DD - 2000 VW Beetle - wait for it............ 210,000!!! :hippie:

I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty with 92,000 miles on it! We're hoping to get another 1 1/2 out of it. DH just got the new car this month as he really needed it badly!!
His old car wa a 2001 Chevy Malibu had 160,000 on it!

1994 Jeep Cherokee Sport with 107000 miles...I bought it in 1997 driven ever since...I never imagined I would have it so long...

2002 Dodge Neon, 135,000
2005 Dodge Grand Caravan, 135,300 (most put on it by driving to DL or to Idaho to see my family)
2009 Kia Spectra, 35,000

I LOVE Subaru. I'm on my third. The first was a 1990 Loyale (lost it in an accident:guilty:) Second was a 1993 Impreza. One of the first Impreza's sold in my area. I drove that car for 13 years and 120K + miles. I made a giant mistake and decided to buy a 2006 Suzuki Forenza just because I wanted a new car. Worst car ever! So in 2008 I got rid of it (terrible in the snow and I did not feel safe) bought a 2008 Legacy with 10K miles on it. It now has 53K and no problems. I love, love, love my Subaru's.

I hear you. For the last 2 years I keep thinking 'hmmm, my car is getting old, perhaps I should replace it' and then I get it washed (it's always dirty cause I drive it so much :rotfl: ) and I realize it's still a good car and it can last for a while longer.

But I will get another one, eventually.

2000 Honda Accord with over 130 K.
2007 Honda Accord with over 80K.

We keep up the maintenance and are hoping to wear these cars out!

Ford ranger 2002 67,000 DH only drives it to work and back
Lexus ES 350 2008 81,000 we drive it everywhere!

We haven't had any problems with either car expect we had to replace the battery in the Ranger a few months back.

>1999 Pontiac Grand Am -- 103k (I bought it new)
>1992 Toyota pickup -- 493k (DH bought it new) And YES, that's over 493,000 miles on the original engine :thumbsup2
>1998 Toyota Avalon -- 101k (we bought from my aunt a couple years ago @ 83k... she had bought it in 2001 @ 75k!)

All have had scheduled maint, and not much else. The pickup (before they were named Tacoma) has started to run hot if the heater is on, so DH is driving the GA to work in the winter. IF/when the p/u ever craps out, he'll probably put a rebuilt engine in it. Awesome little truck!! The service guys at the dealership are forever making him offers on that thing. :upsidedow

And let me tell ya, that Avalon is GREAT for roadtrips to WDW!!

2005 Saturn Relay minivan...it has its quirks, but it works okay that I will keep it around for a bit...coming up to 100,000 miles soon. I'm at 97-98K right now. We have had it for most of those. It was bought used at 5000 miles.

Hubby has a 2001 Chrysler 300M (I think it is '01) anyway. It has somewhere in the 60-70K range. But I truly cannot remember. It clearly is our low transit car. He had a time period where it wasn't driven at all, then he had a time period where he had a 1/4 mile commute to work (drove in on very hot days--hates to "glisten"). He's itching to replace it b/c of appearances. I'm hoping he can suck it up for a couple of more years. We may get a cheap paint job to tide him over.

And we don't due scheduled maintenance as we should. But at this stage, when the mechanic hollers that something needs to be done and it seems logically appropriate and not a scam tactic (Jiffy lube, ahem! :rolleyes1), then we get the work done.

Replacing cars just isn't in our plan right now.

2005 Altima- Husband's car, main travel car right now, paid off, 90K miles

2005 Civic- my car, 3 more payments 74K miles

After we pay off my car, we are going to sell it and get a Mom-mobile. My husband doesn't want to take any long trips with his car anymore as it has some minor recurring issues but he doesn't really fit in my car. Plus we had a baby in September and the Civic does not have the best AC for where we are (Phoenix 105 degrees and higher all summer). We are looking at either the Traverse or the Edge as the front runners. We plan to keep that car a long long time!

2001 Ford Mustang, 84000 miles. Still running GREAT. I LOVE this car!
2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 112,000 miles. Still running GREAT. My next car will be another Jeep Grand Cherokee.

We have been lucky with both cars.

We also have a 2007 Dodge Durango......right now it won't even start..............
