How many miles on your car? What make/model?

While I do not have a car, I am still into cars, so I can tell you what cars my family drives.

1997 Honda Accord
1991 Toyota Camry

Car I want: Ford Fusion SEL AWD
Other Cars I like: American cars and Mercedes-Benzes

2004 Toyota Sienna, 91,000 miles, give or take. No problems, regular maintenance and we did have to change the belts a few months ago.

My car 2007 Focus - under 52,000
Hubby's car 2000 Taurus - over 150,000 (rebuilt tranny last year)

2002 Dodge Grand Caravan 131,000 (me)
1993 Pontiac Bonneville 104,000 (DH)
2000 Chevy Cavalier z24 160,000 (about 3,0000 with this engine..dd#1)
2002 Dodge Neon 95,000 (dd#2)

I have a 2003 Grand Caravan with 120K. I love my van!!
Hubby has a 2006 Ram Truck with 30K. He drives 1 mile to work and 1 mile home from work 2 or 3 times a week. His truck should last fovever!

'02 Audi wagon with 130,000 miles (bought it used in '04)

I love this car, but repairs are expensive. It needs roughly $2500 in work in the near term and it's not worth much more than that. Of course, that's the dealer's opinion and almost $2000 of that is for a clutch that they told me I needed to replace immediately -- 60,000 miles ago! (We got a second opinion, needless to say!:rotfl:)

I'm beginning to think about what I'll replace it with. I'm leaning towards an Outback (all wheel drive is a must in winter in my town).

I have a 2006 BMW 325i and I have about 55,000 miles on it.. all put on by me. No idea where I've been driving that many miles since then!

Hubby has a 1990 Chevy Silverado (seriously..), I don't know the mileage on it, but it's falling apart and he needs to get a new car as soon as we can afford it!

2007 Honda Pilot 35,000 miles -bought new-mine and I love it.
2008 Toyota Solara convertible-35,000 miles bought new (DH's "other woman" lol)

They replaced 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager with 135,000 miles and 1996 Dodge Neon with 130,000 miles. Both running fine. Sold the Voyager, donated the Neon.

We usually keep cars 9 or 10 years. It's perfectly normal for cars to go 200,000 miles now ( not so common 20 years ago).

We have 2 Saturns as well.

1996 Saturn Station Wagon- 155,000
2002 Saturn VUE- 90,000 or so
2004 Toyota Sequoia- 80,000

All 3 cars paid for and no issues.

Dawn

2002 Saturn SL-240,000 miles on it-less than $500 of unscheduled repairs in 8 years.

2008 Saturn Vue-41,000-no issues at all.

GM lost a customer when Saturn was eliminated.

I drive a 2003 Ford Windstar that has 83,000 miles on it. We bought it used in 2005 with 6,600 miles on it. I have 7 payments left on it

DH drives a 2003 Ford Taurus. It has less then 70,000 miles on it. I bought it new in 2003 and it is paid off.

We have had very few problems with our vehicles. I had to replace the starter on my van about 3 years ago and it cost around $600. Other then that and general maintanence, there's been no other issues.

The Taurus has to have some type of sensor replaced. DH was quoted at $350 and was told whenever we got around to doing it would be fine that it wasn't a pressing issue. It will be fixed when we have our income taxes. He also had to have his fuel line replaced. It was just under $1000.

We're hoping that once our van is paid off we can go payment free for at least a year. We plan to stash what we are paying now into a savings so that we can have a nice down payment. I will probably take the Taurus and we will trade in the van for something for DH.

We just got rid of our car. It was a 1999 Chrysler Cirrus and had 224,740 miles on it.

Now we have a 2005 Rendezvous with 73K miles on it.

I drive an 02 Ford Explorer (bought 3 years ago) and it has almost 118K miles on it. When we bought it, it had 97K
DH drives an 00 Ford F150 with less then 50K miles on it. Can you tell we drive mine more?
We only have a payment on my truck. I'm hoping it lasts another 3 years. Then, we'll consider trading it in. I want a Chevy Tahoe.

I have a 1998 Nissan Maxima - purchased in January 2000. It currently has 232,000 + miles. Runs great. Only ever put an alternator in it.

2003 Volvo wagon 125,000 miles - very disappointing car - many expensive repairs. We bought planning on getting at least 250k miles. Now we are praying we get another year out of it.

2006 Toyota Corolla, 35,000 miles -awesome car - the second one we've owned, repair costs very low

Our older car is a 2000 Volvo wagon, 98,000 miles, also disappointing--had to have a $3000 transmission repair 2 years ago. It's because of this car that we didn't buy another Volvo wagon.

6 months ago we sold our 1995 Volvo wagon, 180,000 miles--we got to the point where the repairs weren't worth it. Bought a used 2010 Toyota Sienna minivan and hope to have it at least 10 years, it has 24000 miles on it now.

From 1996 to 2007 I drove a 1988 Volvo wagon--we took it up to 150,000 miles. My favorite car ever, :woohoo: so reliable and easy to drive. It was a sad day when it developed starter problems and stalled and died a number of times when I was driving along busy roads...unfortunately the mechanic couldn't find a fix for it :sad2:

2006 VW Passat 47,000 miles and a 2010 GMC Acadia with 17,000 miles...hoping the VW is going to be now 10 DS first vehicle

I drive a 98 Ford Explorer....205,000 miles on it, bought it 4 1/2 years ago for $3,500 cash :thumbsup2 Looks great, drives great. Most 'major' parts have been replaced, so we're good to go for some time with it.
