How many days at Disney versus Universal

Last week, hulk was practically a walk on with express pass (well, stayed at RPR). I can't remember the standby times, I think 45 or 60. We did Gringotts early in the am, maybe a 20 min wait but I could hang out in that queue for hours and not mind. After exploring awhile, we did FJ after taking HE over, maybe a 30 min wait for FJ. The most we waited was 75 min for Kong since I wanted to experience it at night. Again, love the queue, so it went by fast. Again, we spent literally hours doing spells in the HP area. Hours. I could live in Diagon Alley. It is that well-done.

I think calling 45 minutes "practically a walk on" is a time distortion that most people don't have access to.

I think they were saying it was a walk on with express pass not in the normal standby line.

Last trip in May we went with 2 little girls, so we extended our vacation to do 6 days at Disney and 3 days at Universal (we bought US APs because it was affordable and we were going back in September). This trip is just DH and I. We plan 4 days at Disney and 3 days at Universal. In May, the lines were not long and we had no express pass. The longest line was Minions (42 minutes) but most everything else was a 10 minute or less wait. We did wait 15 for the Pterodactyl ride. I like Disney the most but without the little ones we don't need that much time there because we're not doing the M&Gs, BBB, or any of the "kiddie" rides. Since your children are older, they will also enjoy US. I am definitely looking forward to the new King Kong attraction!

5 days at Disney and 2 at Universal.

On our first trip we did 5 days at Disney, 2.5 at Universal, and 4 doing other things like Discovery Cove and DS. We still feel like we missed a lot tbough, but it was enough to see what we wanted to see the most.

Wow, I don't know how everyone gets to go so often! I'm kind of jealous, as I said before, this is our first trip! That just makes it more magical ...right?

Yes, we walked on having express from staying onsite, as in zero wait......standby line was 45 -60 minutes.
