How long would you stay??

I am also a teacher and would say that three weeks would be a great amount of time to spend at WDW. But make sure that you do some of the "off the beaten path" stuff since 21 straight days in the parks might make you a little crazy. Good suggestions for WDW options- horseback rides at Ft. Wilderness, making smores and fishing at Port Orleans Riverside, tours in the parks (I'm slightly partial to Keys to the Kingdom since I used to give it) and anything else that interests your family under the recreation page. Also, some good non-WDW stuff would definitely be Kennedy Space Center (you may be able to catch a launch at that time of year) and Gator Land (somewhat corny but a truly "Florida" experience)! As for dining plan, I don't think I would do it for the whole time, but if you want to eat at several of the table service resturants you could figure out which ones you want to do and then schedule it for that number of days. I've eaten at them all (yes I know that sounds crazy but it was part of my job) and I think of 21 days of entree and desert at TS offerings would be a good way to make yourself sick. But maybe 10 restuarants might be good. The idea of getting a 1BR or 2BR in a DVC would be great not only for the kitchen but for the laundry as well. If you want two pretty "different" resort experiences (I'd hate to move more than once, even with Disney bell services help- they'll move your luggage for you) maybe AKL and SSR. Good luck and have a great time!

Our trips have gotten longer each time we visited. 3 of our first four trips were for 8 days. The other one was 8 days in disney and 3 nights at Daytona Beach. Then the next 2 were for 12 nights. Our last trip was for 13 nights. Our next trip in 2009 will be 19 nights with the first 4 nights at the nick hotel and the next 15 on site.:cool1: Gotta love DVC

After 8 days, we feel like we have done everything at Disney and are ready for our own beds/food.

I think 10 days is the most I could do becaue would get tired of disney and would run out of money

Wow...I can't believe some of you have said that after 8-10 days you feel as though you've done "everything" at Disney.

I have been over 15 times and still feel like there is so much I have not experienced!

If I could I definately would stay 3 weeks (or longer if I won the lottery!!!)

My suggestion would be to give it a try...if when it is all done you feel like it was too long then do something different next time. There is so much more to WDW than rides and parks that I'm sure you will find the time just flies by. You might want to get one of the books about the "Best Kept Secrets of Disney" for some ideas to do when not in the parks.

I could definitely stay for three weeks but would probably run out of money, unless we stayed in a place that had a kitchen and so forth.

But we're staying for 8 or 9..can't remember right off hand..that way we can take one day and do nothing. Well maybe DTD or something but not to have to worry about the parks. The last time I went, we were there for either four or five and felt rushed.
