How long will a sit down dinner take?

How long should I plan to be at a sit down dinner (we are fast eaters)? I like the idea of having a nice, filling meal, but I don't like the idea of spending potential 'ride/attraction' time sitting around waiting for food to be delivered to our table.

I have PS for Cinderella's Royal Table (dinner) and am thinking about booking one for Sci-Fi at MGM.

Any thoughts?

I was wondering this as well... I was just estimating that if it's casual dining it probably would take as long as a casual dining anywhere... An hour tops?

In our experience, park restaurants serve quickly in almost all cases. You might occasionally get a slow server but usually service is fast.

I think an hour sounds about right for a two course meal once you are seated.

However, some restaurants get backed up for seating even with a PS. We've never dined at SCi-Fi but I've read that it happens there.

In our many experiences at CRT for lunch, we have never waited very long to be seated.

We usually plan for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour. Usually closer to an hour.

Our favorite part of the trips are the sit down meals, so we don't get in any hurry.

For the first couple trips, we were the same way, and then we really enjoyed the sit down restaurants as attractions in and of themselves, especially SciFi! Maybe an hour, hour and a half. Keep in mind, we go during very slow times, so we've never had to wait too long for any restaurant, but Sci Fi is the one restaurant where we actually have had to wait even with a PS. Maybe just our bad luck? Enjoy!
