On May 5th I canceled our reservation for BC and rebooked for YC. Although my CC was charged that day for the new deposit at YC, my card has still not been creditied with our BC refund. How long does it usually take for it to come through? I called WDTCo yesterday and they said that the BC ressie was no longer in the system and must be cancelled since they couldn't bring it up on the screen. Who else should I call?

I also never received a confirmation on my YC ressies and asked for them to send me "another". Is this normal or should I worrry about the accuracy of everything?

I have been told , credits are usually applied to your credit card within 7days of cancellation, depending on your specific credit card cycle is when it will show up .

Yes, if it's not posted in about a week, I'd call WDW to make sure it was processed.

It could also be held up at your bank. They do that for float! So if it's been posted by WDW, then follow up with your bank.

We canceled our room only reservation at AKL for 3 rooms and booked the 7 for 5 package at Wilderness Lodge. Our original deposit was refunded to my credit card within a week, actually within a few days. We received the confirmation for our new reservation within about 2 weeks. We also got a confirmation of our cancellation of AKL, which also showed the refund, within about 1 week of cancellation. You may want to follow up and make sure they are showing the original cancellation and refund in the system. I know that ours is still showing, as the reservationist mentioned it when I was making priority seatings last weekend.

I paid my original ressie by check. Had to cancel when I rebooked the 5/7 package. It took me 2 weeks to receive the refund. They told me it would take shorter if I paid by credit card. I'd check it out.

It took me quite a few callbacks about this issue to WDTCo. They kept telling me to be patient and it might take a while to get the credit to my CC. Finally today a CM took the time and did a little more research and let me know that they never did cancel my BC ressie. I did now get a cancelation number, so I'll be looking for a credit to my DV online. Thanks to all for responding to me and giving your advice. I think it's worked out.

Moral of the story:
Be polite to all CMs but keep calling back until you get an answer.
