Just trying to work out if we can catch the TGV at 19:58 if flight arrives in terminal 2B at 19:10 .... but wondering if anyone doing it recently has a rough idea of transit time through the arrivals procedure and baggage hall. Will this be cutting it a bit fine ?

It depends, one time it tooks us around an hour, that wad long. The other times around 30mins

I am pushing it a bit then to book a train for 50 mins after the plane lands I think ...if we miss it we won't get a refund or anything so I might just book a private shuttle to be safe.

your best booking a private shuttle as they will wait on you. sometimes we've only been 20 mins in total, and sometimes we've waited up to 30 mintues at baggage as it all just depends how quick they are at off loading the plane

I know .... it is all just a bit too unpredictable for my peace of mind .... shuttle isn't much more expensive anyway so we will probably go for that option.

Thanks for all the responses.

When I flew in from Orlando, It took me like 30 minutes to get off the plane, through immigration and then to bag pickup. I ended up waiting longer for our US friends to get through immigration than it took me to clear everything :-)

I'd also opt for the shuttle just to be sure and to be honest theres not much of a difference in time - shuttle is 25mins and TGV is 12 mins. Maybe if you wanted to not have to leave as early for the airport you could get the TGV back to CDG? Unfortunately its timings for October don't suit our return plane time but it would be another option for you. Bare in mind it is a bit of a pain lugging your cases onto the TGV - think I'm getting far too accustomed to shuttles perhaps!
