I would like to hear any advice for how long you would recommend you need to see the individual parks. We are staying for 2 weeks from 2/9/06 but would like to pack as much as possible in the first week as the second coincides with Presidents week which I assume will be much busier. Also can you get a Hidden Mickey shaved into the back of your head at the barbers. My dd7 keeps pestering me to have it done and I suppose if there is one place you could get away with it then WDW is it. :earsboy:

we do 1 day for ak, 1 day for mgm, 2 days at mk, the rest of our weeks are spent at bg, ioa, seaworld, us and other stuff

Two weeks at WDW...wow, sounds like a great vacation! Are you staying on property? If you are, then you will probably spend more time at the parks than if you were not.

For me on property and with 2 weeks to fill - 2 1/2 days MK, 1 1/2 days EPCOT, 1 day Studios (more like 2 half-days), and 1 day AK (and that's pushing it; a little less than 2 half-days is more likely and with it closing early, you still have time to finish up at one of the other parks or have a good dinner). A 6 or 7-day parkhopper would do me just fine since I don't like being stuck in one park in case it gets too crowded or things start falling apart.

However, according to what the general consensus is (at least on these boards), if you are planning or wanting to do 7 or more days at the parks, it is cheaper for at least one person in the party to buy an AP so you have the freedom to go whenever, wherever, and for how long you want in addition to getting discounts on many other things as well (including other tickets).

Whatever you do, have fun and enjoy!

I'd say to plan for 1 day AK, 1 day MGM, 2 days Epcot, 2 days MK.
That being said, we're going to break it up a little on our next trip, doing half days in certain parks and going back to Epcot a couple of extra times for the dining options (oh the joy of park hoppers)!

I would do 2 at MK, 1 1/2 at AK, 1 at MGM and the rest at Epcot. If using hoppers I would start out quite a few days at certain parks and hop to Epcot in the evening.

AK you can do in one day easily, I think.

MGM you can do in one day for the most part, unless you want to see all the shows. Maybe 1 1/2 if you have time.

Definitely 2 for Epcot and 2 for MK.

Also, if you are getting the dining plan with a sit-down meal every night that adds a lot of time vs. a pb&j in your backpack! Especially if you have all 3 courses - appetizer, entree & dessert. At least two dinners on our last trip took 1 3/4 hours.

6 day in park would look like this for us -
Day 1 = MK
Day 2 = MGM Morning - EPCOT Evening
Day 3 = AK Morning - MK evening
Day 4 = EPCOT Morning - MGM Evening
Day 5 = AK Morning - EPCOT evening
Day 6 = MGM morning - MK evening

Minimum:

2 days for MK
2 days for Epcot
1 days for MGM
1 days for AK

In addition, I like 1 day for just chillin'.

I'm very odd, but here's what I average on a 9 day trip:

1 at AK
1.5 at Epcot
1.5 at MGM
5 at Magic Kingdom

My next trip will be 2 days for each of the major parks. MK,AK, EPCOT, and MGM. This is for me DH and the kidds (15 and 2 when we go). Big girl will be spending one morn at Blizzard Beach (with or w/out dad)instead of in parks w/ us. I figure we'll all get our fill
