How long does it take to get your membership cards?

We became new DVC members on June 25th (on the Disney Dream Cruise). I know we are already fully "closed" and paid because we were already able to make a reservation for December. I have not received my membership cards yet. Does anyone know how long that usually takes?

We also recently joined DVC on the July 5th Dream cruise...and we just received our membership cards in the mail today!

I did a resale purchase with closing on July 6th. On July 23 I was able to call and make a reservation. I just received my card today.

I have seen people mention getting a packet of material from DVC but my card just came in a small folder with nothing else.

The cards are processed, printed, and mailed in bulk by a outside contractor. Depending on how many they have to do and where they are in the cycle, I have seen it take a week and I have seen it take several.

If you ever need a replacement card while at WDW, the Preview Center at SSR can also print them.

I bought back in May and got my card even before I signed paperwork (well, before they got it back)!

New member in March 2011 never got a card until I emailed them at the end of July.. Mailed out and received about 1 1/2 weeks after the email. Hope someone else did not get my first card.......
