How long does it take to eat at Be Our Guest for lunch?

hi y’all,

I have never been to be our guest before. From the pictures it always seems like a very long line outside to even check in.

I got a lunch reservation at noon for our next trip out in the fall. I am not sure we want to keep it. We don’t want to spend an hour having lunch. We prefer to have our sit down meals at dinner time.

If we preorder our food, how long do you think it would take for the whole process? This is an adults only trip? Is it worth the time if we have never been to BOG?

I would say to leave an hour just in case, but it's very possible to be in and out under an hour, especially if you preorder all of your food. The line you've seen in pictures was probably people who didn't preorder their food. That line can get pretty long sometimes.

If you've never been there before it's definitely worth a try once. The atmosphere is pretty awesome inside!

Had lunch at BOG just the other week we spent an hour there but we did stay and sit for a little bit after finishing as we waited for our FP for SDMT.

I would highly suggest pre-ordering your food as this will save you some time as you will not have to wait in line to order just pay.

Definitely pre-order. That speeds things up a lot. We had a group of 6 (I have 4 kids) and I think it took 35-45 minutes. Not that much longer than any other quick service but a much more pleasant experience.

I think I always budget an hour for lunch no matter where we plan to eat. It takes time. I also feel that having an ADR there is a nice way to take a break midday,.

Now we usually go at 11am..but to give you an idea at that time which is when lunch opens, we do pre-order anymore which definitely has been faster for us at least than if we did not. We have never been in there longer than 45 min. total time. Maybe even less time here and there. Once you get through the lines, the food comes pretty quickly. But, like I mentioned pre order does help.

How has the food been? Is it worth the trip?

I normally order the kids turkey sandwich and it’s decent. I might be in the minority but I don’t like the grey stuff cupcake at all. The strawberry one isn’t bad

As long as you preorder, it doesn't take long at all. I've never waited more than a couple of minutes in the preorder line (the only time I have waited was when they decided to grab a fairly large group from the regular line and none of them had any idea what they wanted). When you check in, they'll see that you've preordered and send you to the left side of the line. When you get to the front, you may have to tell the CM that you've preordered, and they'll direct you to a cashier. They confirm your order, you pay, and then you find a table. We find a table first, then go fill our drinks, with one of us staying at the table. The food is usually out within 10 minutes, you eat, you're done. I personally love the ambiance of the restaurant, so if I notice empty tables, I'll sit back and relax for a few extra minutes. But I know it's never taken us an hour, even with the cool down time.

If you're going in the summer, especially, I would budget an hour.

Eat slowly, get refills of your drink, use the restroom, and make sure you're well rested from the heat before heading out.

Oh, and leave time to look at the 3 rooms (and take pictures in the West Wing, especially).

If you pre-order, you can get in pretty quickly. We generally linger after lunch because the AC is nice and the seating is pretty comfortable.

We had lunch there last Summer and could have been out in under an hour but we sat and had an extra diet Coke and talked a few minutes after the meal and took some pictures in all 3 dining rooms and in the entrance area.

We ate there for lunch for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Didn't think it was anything special and probably would not go back. You wait in various lines in a stuffy hallway before being seated and there are confusing kiosks where you order your food before sitting down. It is not obvious where certain menu items are and the sub-menus could have been clearer.

Don't recall how long we were there but it seemed about average compared with most lunch places.
