How long do I have to bank points?

I am looking into buying resale and the one i am looking into has an August UY. It still has 200 points available how long do I have to bank the 2008 points.

8 months from your UY month.

Am I reading this correctly? If use year is August, that means you get your points on Aug. 1st. Then you have 8 months before you "bank" them. If, as jlewisinsyr says, you can bank them March 31st, doesn't that give you almost 9 months?

Nope it is eight... Aug., Sept., Oct., Nov., Dec., Jan., Feb., Mar. = 8

I am in the same boat. I am in the process of purchasing a resale that has 100 points that expire on 5/31/09 (June UY). My contract want be final until the last week of November or 1st week of December. This is past the 8 month point but since I am just now becoming a member would Disney wave the rule if I bank them to 2009 immediatly. Has anyone had any experience with this situation?

With a June Use year, Wouldn't you have until January 2009 to bank them? June, July, August, September, October, November, December, & January = 8 months If you close in December, and it takes about a week for MS to get you into the system, I would think you will have enough time to bank them for 2009 use. I am new to this also so, take it for what it is worth!

That's right, Tink6666, if you have a June UY, you have until Jan. 31 to bank your points.

Sorry I thought the 8 months went backwards, Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, and May.
