how long before your deeds arrive

Hi all, We bought 180 points at SSR on our visit to Florida in March (Pound Sterling V US dollar exchange rate very attractive at the time and is still very good) and paid the balance in mid April. How long do you normally have to wait for your deeds to be sent and the contract recorded at the Orange county office?

Have to say we are looking forward to our first visit to DVC - will probably be next year now (our points year starts Aug 2004) - if we want to stay in Sep 05 do you know when we can bank our points from for the 2004/05 year - by my reckoning we can book from about Oct 04 - is that correct?

It varies, but four to six months should probably be expected.

Congratulations and welcome to DVC and the DISBoards! I looked at the letter we received just this week with our closing documents -- it says it can take 8-10 weeks for the deed to be recorded. So, if you take my figures and combine them with those from JimC, it looks like it can vary anywhere from 2 months to 6 months!

We bought SSR in October '03, and just received our printed deed yesterday. SSR is a bit unique since many purchases were made well in advance of resort building openings. Our closing would have occurred sometime just before May 17th, so it took about a month after that to receive the paperwork in the mail.
