How is pizza delivery worth two adult TS credits?

The average adult table service credit seems to be worth about $30. That would be $60 for pizza delivery??

And then what happens when your kids still have table service credits and you don't?

If you need a pizza fix (like I always do) go to Toy Story Pizza Plannet you get a Salad, Small pizza, drink and a cookie for 1 CS. I love the veggie pizza. I would never burn 2 TS on a pizza delivery but this is one way Disney can get back some of those Ts and not cost them too much.
There are also other pizza places in DTD and the Animal Kingdom.

I thought that idea was just ridiculous. Its probably just Disney's way to save money, but who would want to spend 2 TS credits on a box of pizza (around $60 when pizza is worth about $10) I would rather keep those 2 credits and use them for 2 buffets than a box of pizza.:rolleyes1

Pizza vs. 2 buffets

You choose!:goodvibes

It's worth two 2TS credits to feed a family of 4 who just want to lounge in teh room or hang out by the pool. Its a pizza meal so there is pizza, salad, dessert and beverages. If that's what will make your family happy (no ADR needed, no getting dressed, no muss, no fuss) then I think those families should go for it. Also say Mom and Dad are headed out to Pleasure Island and are leaving the kids, perhaps with the teeanager in charge in the room. I think that $60 would be well worth for that too. I have a 6yo nephew who would probably eat pizza everyday if we let him so he'd think pizza by the pool would be one of the greatest inventions ever!

I look at it as Disney giving families an option. Also if you haven't made ADRs or can't get one this gives you and option to spend it, eat and not come out of pocket for additional cash.

The pizza delivery that costs 2 adult TS credits includes two non-alcoholic drinks, one pizza, and two desserts.

The most expensive large pizza doesn't usually cost more than $16. Two drinks would be $4 at the most. Two desserts $8. That is a $28 meal that costs 2 TS credits. I could understand it taking 2 CS credits, but TS?

If you really want to do that put the $28 on your room and save your TS credits.

Thanks for correcting.

If you've already spent the money for the plan and aren't going to use the credits otherwise, keep your $28.

$16 if you get soda free (if you purchaced the resort mugs) and get a dessert with a SC if still hungry. You always need to buy an extra meal here or there on the DDP so this would be cheap this way to lounge aronnd the pool. Now with the saved TS you can all go one night to Le Cellier and have a great meal well worth the TS credits.

My guess is that the logic behind 2 credits is that a whole pizza is meant to serve more than one person.

The deluxe resorts also charge TS credits for room service, so that seems to be how room delivery is set up.

we're a family of four w/both of my "kids" being "adults" and the two TS pizza meal would easily work for the four of us... it may not be the best bang for one's buck but our equation includes convenience and fun! and pizza delivery is both of those things! :)

I guess I am looking at it purely from a monetary perspective. I read threads on here where people have tons of credits left on their dining plan on their last day and wonder why they bothered buying the dining plan. In the end they probably help keep the cost of the dining plan down for the rest of us. If everyone used it to its maximum value, it would cost a lot more.

I think the main question is they would have 2 TS child credits left and what could they do with them? You could do OOP for yourselves and use the 2 TS for the kids (but I'm not thinking you would want to do that) I don't know if you can send the 2 kids into a TS on their own don't know their ages or Disney would let you do that. Or just figure the pizza cost 4TS but you did feed 4.

I could see using credits that way on the deluxe plan. We have like 10 adult and 12 kids credits unplanned, and pizza wouldn't be a bad use of them since we're already coming out ahead on the plan. So if we feel like a late night snack, we might order a pizza or room service.

I don't think it ever makes sense on the standard plan, though, because it is a very poor use of credits from a dollars-and-cents standpoint.

There isn't a need to get value for the left over Child TS credits. If the kid has already had a snack and CS meal those TS credits are only worth about $2-3. You'd have to spend way more than that OOP for the adult meal.

If it just burns you to leave the credit use them at Beaches & Cream and pay for an adult meal or whatever you want off the menu.

If I wanted a pizza, I would just pay OOP for it. There's no way I'd use 2 TS credits for that!

This is what DS and I plan to do. We are going to be there for 10 days so we have more credits that I will make ADRs for. He saw that POP has pizza delivery and really wants to do that one night. I agree with the poster that said it is part of the fun. We would more than likely have one slice that night and then eat the rest for breakfast the next morning! :rotfl2:
