Is it crowded? Does Grad Nite mess things up? What's the deal with the flower festival? How's the weather? You know, all the pertinent info.

Thanks!

ok it is pretty crowded because of the grad night and the flower festival. it is fun but not worth the crowds! i say do not even bother

We're going then. From what I can see, the grad nights effect you if you want to do MK in the evening on a Friday or Saturday night. We usually do MK early and teenagers don't like to get up early, so I feel ok with the grad night on Saturday....we'll hop to Epcot in the evening.

I think the flower show goes on for many weeks, but am not sure. Since Epcot handles crowds so well, I can't imagine that will be too terrible either. I was in Epcot last year during the Food and Wine Festival, and it wasn't bad...a few more drunks than normal, but that's all.

I went the first or second week of May from 2000 to 2005, it's a great time to go! Crowds aren't too bad. The Flower & Garden Festival is nice. Weather can be from the mid 80's to mid 90's, very little rain.

I was there the last week of April this year, we worked around Grad Night, went to other parks or Downtown Disney Friday & Saturday nights. Wasn't a big deal.

I find this is also a great time to go! It is after the Easter/Spring Break crowds, and before when the southern schools start letting out for summer. Grad nights never bothered me much. The weather is warm, but not overwhelmingly hot. I love going around that time! :)

We had a good time over grad night weekend. Crowds were fine except at AK. It didn't handle large groups well. I didn't notice them at MK at all. At Epcot we only saw a few groups and they were pleasant and polite and no problem at all.

Thanks we are going April 26th thru May 4th and saw the Grad nights . I actually plan on doing MK that sat. and not staying late anyway I'm hoping Grad nite will keep crowds down during day and the park will close early for Grad night. Any body any thoughts on this plan??

We went the very first week in May of 05 and LOVED it! The crowds were slim, little or no wait, perfect weather. I wore shorts and we layered our tops for early morning/late evening warmth.

I went late April-Early May 2005 and it was wonderful! Lite crods, flower and garden festival going on, didnt notice a thing about grad night (just stayed away from MK that night). I would not hesitate to go then again.

The reason I'm asking is because my sister and I went on a last minute 3 day trip this month and loved going on our own. Don't get me wrong - I felt very guilty leaving my two kids and I'll definately take them another time, but we had a blast. We want to do it again and a well-known touring website said that the last couple of days in April are a really good time to go. Easter is earlier in the month in 2007 than in 2006 so I'm hoping that the crowds will die down earlier too.

Anybody else have any thoughts or comments? Can anyone compare April to September?

My plan exactly ... after Easter by a couple of weeks and well before Memorial Day. Has anyone done MK during the day on Grad nites. We are planning a 2nd day at MK so can do the evening parade and fireworks then if they are not on for Grad nite. I think MK and MGM seem to be the popular Grad nite parks.

From what I've read, the kids are bused in on Grad nites, so they don't really affect the days. Can anyone confirm?

If we end up going, I will probably do that - MK one night for Spectro/Wishes, MK day on a Friday or Saturday. It seems like it would be lighter crowd-wise with no night time entertainment.

I am pretty sure I am going the week of 4/28/07. I have gone 2x the week of Mother's Day (98 and 03) and in 98 the crowds were o.k. but in 03 they were non existent except for the night I went to Spectro. I walked on rides like TOT.

Last May, on our way down, we stopped at a restaurant in S.C. for dinner. Our waiter was very excited...telling us all about how he was going to be getting on a bus the next day, to head down for Grad. Nite with all of his friends.

We've gone the 1st or 2nd week of May for the past 3 years. It's great!!
But shhhhhhh!! Don't let the word get out or everyone will go then!! :goodvibes

Yea, you're right! I think it'll be aweful. I probably won't even go. I'll probably wait until July - that's supposed to be a great time to go.

I agree everyone stay home that way me and my kids will not be stuck in line :rotfl2:
Seriously, it is not that bad. we go every April during the flower festival and usually Easter. It is more crowded than feb but less than it was in July or Super Soap w/e in Nov. We plan around Grad nite. The parks close early for the kids so we plan our schedule and ADR around it. I have not seen the confirmed dates for 2007 yet. We went to Chef Mickey last year when the park closed. From the monorail there were buses as far back as you could see all full of seniors waiting for thier party in the parks.DTD was overrun the eve before.
