I don't get it what is the concern? Why is it a mistake?I'm really concerned what capacity will be for Christmas and New Year cruises. Hoping we have not made a terribly expensive mistake.
Because with a more crowded ship there will be more people trying to do the limited number of things. Capacities will still be reduced in theaters, tastings, activities, etc. The appeal of a cruise is not to have long lines and wait times or being completely shut out of activities. We sailed in September with 1100 on board and although there were fewer things to do, you could still DO them. Holiday cruises are SUPER EXPENSIVE, we already lost a port so 3 days at sea with not enough to do sounds pretty awful.I don't get it what is the concern? Why is it a mistake?
I understand although I wouldn't mind 3 sea days but I guess that's subjective.Because with a more crowded ship there will be more people trying to do the limited number of things. I share your same concerns. We have a 7 night on the Fantasy at the end of March for Spring break. We've done this cruise many times, so we've been able to do a lot of the stuff on previous cruises. I'm just hoping if they increase the number of passengers, then they will also increase how many people are allowed in the areas/do activities. My dd is 13 yrs old, she hasn't cared about anything Disney for several yrs, so this may be our last Disney cruise(Once she's off to college it will be great for dh and I can start cruising during cheaper times of the year!)Because with a more crowded ship there will be more people trying to do the limited number of things. For the Club and Lab, you have to reserve times and those are limited. I'm glad that I have a teen, or she would be very disappointed not to be able to stay in the clubs all day long.I understand your concerns. For me though .... As long as I can stick my kids in the club, I can find plenty to keep busy on sea days.![]()
I would love three sea days but a lot of people count on a full slate of on board activities on sea days.I understand although I wouldn't mind 3 sea days but I guess that's subjective.
Did he mention Christmas/New Year?I just got of the Fantasy on 11/11. We were told 1300 were aboard. Our waiter said it was going to 2300 at Thanksgiving then 3000 in February.
No but I would assume 2300 until February.Did he mention Christmas/New Year?
The CMs on the ship are telling the guests who ask.Where are these passenger counts coming from? Just curious how folks know these fairly specific numbers.
The woman who runs all of the activities on the Fantasy (forgot her name) announced it while introducing the Frozen show on the first night. The CMs on the ship are telling the guests who ask.
I just got off the 3 night Fantasy 11/11-11/14. Both the Stateroom host and our server said there were 2150-2200 people on this cruise. They said the weekend cruises have a higher count, the longer weekday cruises have less.Where are these passenger counts coming from? Just curious how folks know these fairly specific numbers.
We too just got off the 11/11 Fantasy and were told over 2,000. Crowd wise, I believed it, both onboard and Castaway; it was a lot quieter in September.I just got off the 3 night Fantasy 11/11-11/14. How early did you have to arrive for something like Bingo? We too just got off the 11/11 Fantasy and were told over 2,000. Crowd wise, I believed it, both onboard and Castaway; it was a lot quieter in September.
