How has Hollywood & Vine (Dinner) Been Lately?

I remember reading bad reviews. How has it been lately?
We like buffets. Love Chef Mickeys, but find Crystal Palace dinner disgusting.

How does H&V compare?

We have visited HandV a few times over the years the last being in Nov 2006. We find it to be typical buffet fare, nothing out of the ordinary and only visited to either get the Fantasmic Dinner Package or because of the convenience of the buffet. It's not on our list of ADR's for next month though although we would neither recommend or disuade a visit there. BTW there really is no need to get the Fantasmic Dinner package unless you really want to visit one of the participating restaurants.....We have always been able to get a better seat by going through the gate with everyone else. Enjoy your trip.

We LOVE Hollywood and Vine. It's a GREAT value for all the choices you get. We do it every trip and we are passholders and there alot! We love the Salmon. YUMMO! and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the mozzerella and tomato salad. I am talking serious addict here. We do sometimes do the Fantasmic package with the meal but this time we are just doing the meal. One of the other things I like is the Dessert there! So good! They even have sugar free options which is great for me since I am a WLS patient and diabetic.

We went to Disney in September and ate at H&V for the first time ever. It really wasn't good - not terrible, but not good either. The one thing that was actually good was the prime rib w/ red wine sauce. The rest.....well, similar to, but not as good as, our local Western Sizzlin'.

We won't go back again.

We (me, DW, & DS14) ate there in early September. It was nice. I like buffets since I'm able to sample many different items. Some items were good, some were really good. I have to say nothing was bad. I thought the salads were fantastic. Give it a try.

We went twice last month (having never eaten there before) once for lunch w/ charachters and once for the fantasmic entrance and didnt like it!

After the character lunch I was sad we had to go back a few days later...

I havent tried either of the 2 you mentioned so I cant compare??? But Liberty Tree Tavern - different park but I thought that was 100 times better than HWandV. Not sure if you've gone there?

How much is the dinner buffet?

I called to see about making a Fantasmic ADR and was told that it was $30.99 each adult. I thought it was supposed to be under $25???
