How far to Disney from Santee, SC??!!

We are traveling to Disney by mini-van with three small children. I have reserved the first night at Country Inn and Suites in Kingsland, GA. Lately, I am thinking we won't make it that far with the children especially the three year old.

I have heard Santee, SC is a good stop over but how far is it from Disney? We want a fairly short drive the next day and arrive at Disney by 11:00 a.m. We have reservations for HDDR at 5:00 p.m. so we want to rest a bit at the resort before dinner...

Try mapquest. Put in the address of the SC place and the address of any resort at WDW and it will give you directions and mileage.

I have done Mapquest, AAA, and Freetrip and they all give approx. driving times as well as mileage. I am looking for someone who has stayed in Santee then driven to WDW. Sometimes mileage charts and "real time" are very different.

The miles rarely change, but, the time sure does. Call AAA for info, they have all that info.

When we drove from Jersey to WDW last year, we stopped at Santee, SC! We stayed at the Holiday Inn...which is rumored to have change to another chain. I highly recommend Santee as a stopover. The drive was 5 hours to WDW! My brother has done it in 4 1/2 hours though!

We stayed in Santee last trip (thanks to having to leave home late due to a hurricane).
WE usually make it all the way to Brunswick Ga. and from there it is a solid 4 hours to WDW (in good traffic).
I'd say it would take almost 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours from Santee just to Brunswick, so probably 6 hours to WDW.

We stayed in Santee two years ago and thought it was great. I think we left Santee at 6:30 am and were arriving at Old Key West at 12:30pm. I know we made a couple of bathroom stops along the way, but nothing major. I know my times are accurate because I keep a trip journal every year. Hope this helps!
