How Far Are You From WDW?

We live in New York, so about 24 hours to get to WDW.

We're another crew who are a 9 hour flight away ....... thank goodness for the new scheduled service from Scotland it has reduced our travelling time down from 14 hours ..... yeayyyyyyy

Another Oregonian here, who always flies now, but did make the round trip in a camper once.

I'll represent Oregon! Don't even want to THINK about driving. ;) It takes pretty much all day to fly though...we have to go on at least 2 planes (stopovers) due to our rural area.
Hey there.
We were Oregonians until about 6 weeks ago.

When we took our first two trips to WDW, we lived in Southern Oregon (3,177 miles from Orlando). For both trips, we decided it was worth driving 5-6 hours to a different airport(once from Portland, once from San Francisco) to save almost $2000 in airfare.

Now we're living outside Charlotte, NC and Mapquest says it's about an 8 hour drive.

We're 1,550 miles from WDW and 1,850 miles from DL. We haven't tried driving to WDW from here, but did drive to DL once years ago, as part of a cross-country holiday trip, so it took about 4 days to get there. :teeth:

No energy or patience to take that long anymore, so it's flying for us, which means we have to carefully plan our trips for cheap(er) airfares.

When we lived in SF, we took the train to DL once; that was a lot of fun!

988 miles or 15 hours to be exact (drove that in April). However, just a short 4 hour car drive and 2 hour flight (my prefered method of travel and what I'll be doing next weekend) if I want to go bad enough. :cool1:

We live 1300 miles from WDW. And to fly, we have to change planes. The nearest airport with a direct flight is about 6 hours away. When we retire, we plan to move and my #1 priority is that it has to be within a day's drive to WDW. So, being the geometry teacher that I am, I took my compass, placed it with WDW in the center and drew a 500 mile radius. Given DH's #1 priority, golf, it looks like we'll probably be headed to Alabama.

I'm about 5 minutes from MK and about 10 minutes from DTD.

As long as we do the drive overnight with no traffic, we can get to Orlando in 12 hours, Straight shot on I95 to I4. It feels so much faster though with the excitment to get there. Getting back is another story... The slow torture to drive back to suckville Northern Virginia

I am a nine and a half hour trans atlantic flight away lol, talk about a long way each year

a little over 1300 miles, or 21 hours drive.

About 1200 miles or a 6 hours from the time we leave the house till check in time via air.

My address in Memphis, TN to WDW's address per google maps...

788 mi (about 15 hours 33 mins)

Lose an hour on the way, gain an hour going home.

I live in San Francisco. We leave for our plane at four in the morning on Thursday. And it takes 7 hours with a lay over in Atlanta...and I couldn"t be more excited.110 and all. It's our first time and it is like a thrill ride in itself. :bounce: :rotfl: :rotfl: :bounce:

Its 470 miles from my house to exit 67 (Epcot/Downtown Disney) on 1-4.

7.5 hours drive with moderate traffic and two to three stops.

Niagara Falls N,Y. way to far to drive about a 3hour plane ride give or take. Anyone else from the Buffalo area?
