How Far Are You From WDW?

From Texas, Dallas/Ft. Worth area....
Mapquest says...1173.28 miles or 17 hrs 30 min. for shortest time..
for shortest distance....1102.88 and 19 hrs. :drive:

Going to be driving next year with dd 9 1/2 and ds 6. Should be okay with dvd player :happytv: and a stop at the beach in panama city..... :boat:

I'll represent Oregon! Don't even want to THINK about driving. ;) It takes pretty much all day to fly though...we have to go on at least 2 planes (stopovers) due to our rural area.

From San Antonio, TX, it takes me 19-21 hours drive time, depending on the traffic in Houston and how many breaks I take along the way. I prefer to drive 'cuz I hate messing with airports, but driving does cut into my park time. If I just want to do a quick weekend Disney fix, I'll fly it in 2 hours, 40 minutes.

We're about a 12.5 - 13 hour drive, but somehow it seems that our excitement usually makes the car go a little faster! ;)

We live just east of Tampa in Brandon, FL. It takes me about 1.5 hours from my driveway to the parking lot of MK. We go over all the time on weekends. Just came back yesterday. Can't wait until Labor day weekend when we are going for 4 days. :cool1:

We too live in Coastal SC. On our last trip, I think it took us 8-9 hours to get there. I would love to fly, but, I don't think I would meet the 2 pieces of luggage limit...I tend to overpack!!

I live in Inuvik, NWT in Canada within the arctic circle. It's a LOOOOOOOONG ways from the top of Canada to the bottom of the US.

a mere 20 hours and 3 connections is all it takes to get me to the happiest place on earth! :thumbsup2

.... and nearly $2000 each for return airfare :sad2:

I'm from Oklahoma. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay to far to drive! Plane trip is over 5 hours. But I know it will be worth it. My first trip to the world, however, I've been to Disneyland over one hundred times. Used to live in Anaheim.

1023 miles, door-to-door. Or about 15 hours by car. Or about 1 and 3/4 hours by jet.

Jared

Well, I am not in the Arctic circle and Oregon may have me beat by a few miles, but here are the details:

2837 miles
41 hours to drive - which is an average of 69.20 mph

My estimated Travel time on Delta: 6 hrs 41 minutes all for $310 Per person RT! Wouldn't have it any other way!

We are in central Maine and Mapquest says 1507.89 miles. Thank goodness for JetBlue out of Portland, Maine!!! Leaving my house at 4am to catch my flight and we should be standing at check-in at 1pm. YAHOO!!!

Currently in San Antonio, Texas, so I would guess about 27 hours to drive? Sounds about right. YAY FOR PLANES!!! :cool1:

Hey there neighbor! We are in coastal SC. We have a long weekend planned in late July for DH and I. We are going to plan for our 9 day trip with the kids (mid Aug). By the time we drove to the airport, check in 1 1/2hours early, fly, disembark, find ME, and ride bus to hotel we could almost drive there.

Is it really 7 hours? WE always hit traffic or construction so it takes longer.

Stacie
We live right near I-95 so are able to get right on and head on down. Not counting the time it takes us to stop for gas and eat, it takes between 7 and 7-l/2 hours. It seems like it doesn't take much time at all to get to the Florida line, but boy it's a looong drive til we get to I-4.
