We plan to watch it from the sunshine plaza area. I saw the post mapping out the places each float stops. Just wondering how early we should claim our spot. Ideas? We'll be watching it on Friday, September 14th. Thanks!

I wouldn't waste too much time going very early. Maybe 15-30 minutes? Unless of course you really want to sit on a bench or something. We have always gotten a spot easily.

We typically like the area in front of Golden Vine. Last time we sat there and there wasn't even anyone in front, behind, beside....well you get the idea. If I remember right, I even got up to get a coffee there at the cart by the water, and nobody took my bench!! I'm just used to the 'fireworks' crowd at DL, and was shocked :scared1:

We went last year around that time (about a week later in Sept.) We arrived about 15 minutes beforehand, and sat right behind the folks sitting on the curb. Plenty close to see everything up close and get great pictures. :thumbsup2

We have been to the BPB numerous times as my DS is obsessed with Mike and Sulley. We usually arrive about 20-25 minutes before the show just to secure our spot in front of the Monster's Inc portion of the show. If your child is interested in seeing certain characters you might want to consider asking at guest information where to sit to see that particular character. For instance, we always sit directly across from the entrance to DCA as this is the best place to see the Monster's crew. If your child is interested in the Toy Story characters, be sure to sit somewhere near the Condor Flats section of Sunshine Plaza. If it's the Bug's Life characters you chose to see, make sure to stake your spot near Playhouse Disney in Sunshine Plaza. Sure you will get a chance to see all the characters but just as they are passing through to the next stop.

Zero minutes. In fact, show up 30 minutes late. Block Party Bash isn't worth your time. But if you insist upon going, 10-15 early is quite sufficient. This thing is so lightly attended that 15 minutes in July was more than sufficient to get a good spot right up front in a shady spot to wait in.

Oh and the next stop over at the back of the park was walk up. It's not really even a parade. Just a few floats that book it from one show stop to another. It's more show than parade. What really stinks is it's replacing Stars N Motor Cars at MGM according to the Mice Age folks.

Hope the Pixar parade replacing it is better.
