We had a 5:50pm reservation for CRT during our Magic Kingdom day. To be honest, this was our first day in the park and we were beat. Our waitress Denise was very sweet, but commented that we looked absolutely tuckered out! Luckily, this dinner was the boost we needed to get through Wishes and some EMH evening fun!
After getting our picture taken with Cinderella, our name was called a little after 6. Side story- The picture from my March 08 trip of me and Cindy at CRT is hanging on the fridge at my house. So basically every time I get stuff from the frige, I look at me and Cindy. Well, when we met her again this year, I noticed she was once again perfect and beautiful. But when I got our PICTURE, I realized it was the exact same Cindy! (Now of course there's only "one" Cinderella, but you know what I mean) I told my mom that and she was like, "At least she's got job security!"
Let me say, my last name is Prince. And it's always funny when they say "Now seating the Royal PRINCE family!" I mean, duh I'm royal!

Just kidding! They do the same thing at Akershus and I always giggle on the inside. Brittany got a kick out of it too.
Anyhoo, we were lucky enough to get a table right by the window. Here's a view from our seat:
Perfection! You can see Sir Mickey's store and the Carousel. We could also see the Cinderella statue. Very cool indeed.
I ordered a Sprite, but Brittany ordered a water. To our surprise, she was bought this fancy bottle. And FYI: she did get a refill with a new bottle!
First we were brought out our rolls.
These are hot and good. But nothing spectacular.
As far as apps go, Brittany ordered the soup. Allears.net says: Corn and Crab Soup with sour cream and chives. The Mickey head is a nice touch.
I can't remember if Brittany liked this. She seemed to eat most of it. I didn't try it.
I ordered the Castle Salad. Allears.net: Castle Salad - Mixed Field greens with Blue Cheese, Raspberries and Candied Walnusts tossed in a Berry Vinaigrette.
This was very yummy. I love Blue Cheese, and the mix of the sweetness of the walnuts and vinaigrette with the savory cheese was a nice combination. I had never ordered this before and liked it better than the spring rolls I had last year.
Brittany and I both though the tortellini sounded yummy so we both ordered it. Last year I got the chicken, so I wanted to try something new.
Close-up:
This was so good! I love tortellini, and this had a wonderful flavor. With the tomatoes, etc. it was very delicious. But this is RICH and hard to finish. Our waitress Denise mentioned that people can never finish this dish. She said one big 6 foot guy was determined to finish it off, but afterward he looked like he wish he didn't!
For dessert, we both ordered the chocolate buckle. This the "celebration" dessert so it had Mickey sprinkles and a white-chocolate disc added to it.
I don't like whipped cream so I plopped it off. Brittany didn't eat her whipped cream either, because she said it was from-a-can-tasting. I sort of wish this came with ice cream. But I love the cheesecake-y dollop hidden in the middle of the cake. Yummy! I also love those baked cream-cheese "dots" on the top.
We had been here for over an hour, and I realized there was no show yet. I wondered if maybe they didn't do it anymore. Luckily, the fairy-godmother came out just when I thought she might not! The show was changed slightly from last year, and she went on and on about celebrations. She even yelled over to me, because I had a graduation cap on, and said "We have a graduation! How wonderful, congrats graduate!" I blushed and felt special!
Here's some pictures with the mices (tee hee):
The "teal" one was there too, but I guess I didn't upload those pics. I knew the purple one was Perla (who's the other one, Merla?

) and she got all excited. Too cute!
Now on to the food... when I booked this, I wasn't too excited. I mean, I went last year and basically booked it for Brittany, being her first time and all. I think eating in the castle is special and must-do for first-timers. But as far the food goes, I can take it or leave it. I do think that this meal is better than the one I had last year. I think it renewed my interest in eating here. I would like to try this for breakfast, since I am yet to do so. But then I would have to get the puffed french toast from CP another time... hmmm.... I'm already planning a trip in the future!
Anyways, I wanted to take a second to say thanks to all who have commented and I'm glad you like my food porn! It kind of extends your trip a little to know that you can come home to talk about it on the DIS for at least a few weeks after, right? I'll keep it coming as quick as I can!
Coming up next... our first breakfast at Sassagoula Floatworks (POFQ) and lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby.
