I am making plans for our Oct trip. We have 3 suites reserved at AKV for our family, my aunt and her 2 kids still at home and a room for my cousin and her husband. I called to get ADSs as follows:

Sunday: Arrive
Dinner - Whispering Canyon @ 6:55

Monday: Epcot day
Breakfast - Akershus Royal Princess Buffet @ 10:15

Tuesday: Magic Kingdom day
Dinner - Liberty Tree Tavern @ 6:00

Wednesday: pool/ DTD day
Dinner - Ohana @ 8:30 (following fireworks on the beach at 8)

Thurs: Another break/pool day
Dinner - Boma @ 8pm

Friday we will hit DHS then head home.....

What do you think? Any you would leave out or change?

Thanks for any input!

Thanks!

We love Boma and Ohana is my absolute favorite! However, we have never been to the others....

Sounds like great restaurants for the kids. I am curious about why you only have two park days planned out of five days? If it were me I would throw in another MK day on Thursday. Maybe just do an early half day with the afternoon at the pool - and do a half day at AK on Wednesday. My DGD loves AK - especially Dinoland and the Safari ride and all the animals. She spent an hour watching the ducks there!

We have Epcot, MK and DHS.... thats 3
We *may* throw in the Halloween Party, but maybe not.

We have it spread out like that for a few reasons. First is that will be our 3rd trip this year. We went in Feb and we will be going the first week of June. We did 3 days in Feb (MK, Epcot and AK). In June the kids and I are going with friends (DH has to work) and we will be doing Typhoon Lagoon, MK, Epcot and AK.

I have 2 kids. My daughter (4) is special needs. She has a hard time with her body tempature and is in a power wheelchair (among many many other things). She gets tired trying to navigate the crowds in her chair. Rude people just walking in front of her and cutting her off. I am sure the are excited too and just not paying attention, but its stressful for her. I try to walk in front of her with her service dog. We make a wide enough path for her to get through, but people still cut her off and she blows her horn and yells (which isn't loud, because she isn't able to yell loud) "Excuse me, I need my mom, can you move?" and after a FULL day of this she is typically exhausted! My husband and son are usually behind her making sure she stays safe.

Epcot usually a very laid back day for her and actually the park she enjoys the most. She gets a few rides and she doesn't have to scream all day long to just be able to stay with us. In Feb AK was the *WORST* of any park experience we have ever had. It was packed... so packed it took us an HOUR to get from the Safari out the font gates. MK is usually fun for her, but an overall exhausting day. I could not imagine taking her there twice in a week.

We mostly go to Disney because it is *such* a magical place for my DD. Disney goes above and beyond to make her feel special and she gets this at no other time in her life. Sure, DS and I *LOVE* Disney too, but its nothing compared to how "normal" life actually gets to be for our DD during our very brief time there. So we try to plan the week with some fun dinners, some characters and not too much stress or running around to see it "all". We just enjoy being at the pools, at the resort, visiting DTD, etc.

I guess we plan our disney trips very different from many families (I hadn't really thought about it before), but it works best for us.

Hi, your plan makes so much sense in terms of your DD's challenges! People do make it difficult for those in wheelchairs when there are crowds. I had to use an ECV one year - and even as an adult it was hard to stay together with my friend.

I hope you have a wonderful trip and that your daughter gets to enjoy herself.
